Tears of the Kingdom Patch 1.2.0: More Bug Fixes That Remove Duplication Glitches

Nintendo has taken action by releasing patch 1.2.0 for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, addressing various bugs and apparently targeting the removal of duplication glitches.

Following the patch release, numerous community members expressed dissatisfaction on social media, as popular duplication glitches that allowed players to amass resources and rupees were seemingly eliminated. While the full extent of the glitch removal is still unclear, some players have specifically mentioned eliminating a glitch that involved exploiting the auto-build feature to acquire large quantities of valuable frozen meats.

Another glitch, which involved duplicating items in the Tobio’s Hollow chasm by combining a resource with a single arrow and firing it with a multi-shot bow, has also been patched out.

But Tears of the Kingdom patch 1.2.0 has addressed bugs in Depths and Secret of the Ring Ruins, resolving issues blocking player progression in the game. Furthermore, bugs related to multiple side quests, such as Lurelin Village Restoration Project and Seeking the Pirate Hideout, have also been addressed.

Additionally, the update has introduced a feature where players can receive “a variety of in-game items” by launching the game through specific articles posted in the Switch News channel. These articles can be accessed in the home menu after waking up the console.
