Shadows of the Damned: Remastered announced

Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture have announced Shadows of the Damned: Remastered, the demon hunting shooter that originally released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011.

In the lead-up to Devolver Digital Direct 2023, the announcement was accompanied by a peculiar trailer. In it, Grasshopper community manager James Mountain is confronted by the game’s protagonist, Garcia Hotspur.

Although no specific release date was provided for Shadows of the Damned: Remastered. The trailer assured that it would be “coming soon”. The platforms for the remastered version were not disclosed. But it is expected to at least be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.

Shadows of the Damned featured Hotspur, a tough demon hunter with a leather-clad, motorcycle-riding persona, on a quest to rescue his girlfriend.

“As he explores the furthest reaches of the netherworld, Garcia battles through Hell and back, with danger and turmoil around every corner,” reads the official synopsis. “Gamers will find themselves challenged by demented puzzles and thrust into gruesome battles with vile and deformed creatures that can only come from the darkest recesses of Hell.”
