Larian Studios stated that completing a single playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3 will require approximately 75 to 100 hours, on average. This makes the game a massive RPG, consistent with Larian’s other titles, providing fans of the genre with significant value for their money.

Recently, Larian has been emphasizing the scale of Baldur’s Gate 3. Dedicated fans will likely immerse themselves in the game extensively based on the information disclosed. Apart from the substantial playthrough time, the game reportedly includes approximately 174 hours’ worth of cutscenes for those who wish to experience every aspect of the story.

Naturally, players who aim to complete every aspect of the Larian RPG will spend significantly more time than others. According to Swen Vincke, who discussed the game with IGN, those who strive to accomplish everything can anticipate spending approximately double the regular playtime, amounting to around 200 hours. Having a substantial amount of content is one aspect, but ensuring that all that content is high quality is another matter entirely. Larian Studios has built a strong reputation in this regard, and early feedback from fans who have experienced the game during its early access phase has been predominantly positive. Fortunately, those eagerly awaiting the vast world of Baldur’s Gate 3 won’t have to wait much longer, particularly if they plan to play on PC.

Significant changes have been made to Baldur’s Gate 3’s release date plans, with the PC version moving forward and the PS5 version experiencing a slight delay. As a result, PC players can jump into the game on August 3, while PS5 players can delve into the adventure on September 6.

The revised release date for the PS5 version of the game is noteworthy, as it puts the game in direct competition with Bethesda’s Xbox exclusive, Starfield. However, unlike Starfield, which is expected to remain exclusive to Xbox, Baldur’s Gate 3 will likely arrive on Xbox at some point. There is even a chance that Baldur’s Gate 3 will be available on Xbox by the end of the year, although fans will need to stay tuned for further updates.
