Best Lost Ark Soulfist build: Combat Stats and accessories, Skills, Class, Card Sets

The Soulfist is an advanced class of a martial artist in Lost Ark. It uses Inner Energy instead of Mana — if there’s at least 1 Inner Energy left, it’s regenerated up to 1,000 quite quickly. However, if you use up all your Inner Energy, you have to wait for a few seconds without being able to use any skills. There’s a skill that helps you in this situation: Hype.

Best Lost Ark Soulfist build: Combat Stats and accessories

In addition to Engravings, accessory items in Lost Ark (necklaces, earrings, and rings) are your source for Combat Stats. These substats can have a major effect on your character, and it is important to target gear with the right stats for your build. Soulfist wants a lot of Specialization while leveling, which speeds up Hype generation and increases the effects of Hype states. Crit is a good secondary target, increasing your crit rate and damage for a nice DPS boost.

Once you start using class Engravings, you’ll want to tailor your Combat Stats to the Engraving you have active. When using Robust Spirit, stick with Specialization to reduce the post-Hype cooldown period and increase the effects of Hype. If you’re using Energy Overflow, however, look for gear with lots of Swiftness to increase attack speed and lower cooldowns, helping you pump out damage and keep your Energy down. For both Engravings, Crit should be your secondary stat of choice.

Lost Ark Soulfist Skill

Leveling in Lost Ark is pretty streamlined and straightforward, but here are a few key skills and tripods that will aid you in the leveling process.

Flash Step

Flash Step is a great mobility skill for Soulfists. If you select Excellent Mobility, the distance you can cover increases drastically. It can be used up to three times, so this skill alone makes Soulfists one of the quickest classes when moving in a straight line.

Heavenly Squash

Heavenly Squash is a popular skill among Soulfists. It requires much Inner Energy, but the damage is also very high. The cooldown is rather long as well. However, when you use it on monsters that are down or airborne, you can deal massive extra damage.

Pulverizing Palm

Pulverizing Palm is a skill that is unlocked immediately for Soulfists. It’s a great starter skill as it charges forward, and the second tripod is a synergy skill that increases your party’s damage.

Tempest Blast

Tempest Blast is unlocked at level 20. It may not be included in the most recommended skills, but it’s chosen quite often among players. Since you can use it from early in the leveling process, it’s a great source of damage.

Lightning Palm

Lightning Palm is unlocked at level 12. As one of the earlier skills available, you can use it throughout your leveling process. The damage is great, and it can benefit from both front and back attacks. It’s is also considered as a counter, so it’s very useful. It’s one of the skills you should level up to at least 7.

Force Orb

Force Orb is a skill that’s unlocked at Lv. 28. It has high damage and is great to connect with other skills. The tripods you should select are Quick Prep, Powerful Wave, and Scattering Wave. Force Orb is useful in both PVEs and PVPs, so make sure you level it to 10 as soon as possible.

Shadowbreaker

Shadowbreaker is a skill that’s unlocked at Lv. 24. Its damage is great and the skill is activated fairly quickly. It’s one of the best skills for the Soulfists in PVEs. Like Force Orb, the tripods should be fixed with Predator, Weak Point Detection, and Sixth Sense.

Best Lost Ark Soulfist build: class overview

Lost Ark’s class playstyles are formed by their Identity Gauges. For Soulfist, this is the Hype Gauge (and yes, that is really what it’s called). Soulfist enters combat at Hype level 1, gaining minor damage, speed, and energy recharge buffs. At any time, she can enter Hype level 2, gaining more powerful buffs and a slowly draining meter. Finally, she can jump to level 3, gaining even larger bonuses. However, the level 3 meter drains quickly. When it empties, Soulfist enters a short cooldown period before returning to Hype level 1.

Soulfist’s basic gameplay patterns revolve around managing these Hype states. You will have to evaluate each fight and decide whether you need to extend Hype’s total duration by staying at levels 1 and 2 longer, or promptly jump to level 3 for immediate bursts of damage. Of course, this will change once you have access to class Engravings. More on these later.

Notably, Soulfist does not use mana. Instead, she uses energy, a secondary resource bar similar to bars of the same name in games like World of Warcraft and League of Legends. Soulfist burns through energy faster than other classes use mana, but it also recharges very quickly. However, if your energy hits 0, you will be unable to use any skills until it fully recharges. As previously mentioned, Hype levels increase your energy recharge rate, so you will be able to fire off skills much faster without hitting empty at higher Hype levels.

Card Sets

Card Sets are a rather late-game part of Lost Ark and can require significant time and investment in order to reach the leveled-up benefits of any deck. This build does not require any particular deck to be effective but does benefit from any of the damaging increasing decks. Your end game goals for card sets should be either Lostwind Cliff Icon Lostwind Cliff (12) for the Crit Chance or Light of Salvation Icon Light of Salvation (12+) for the Holy damage conversion and buff. Unless you have the aforementioned decks, we recommend using anything that boosts your Max Health, such as World Bosses or Armory sets.

Soulfist is one of the best in the game for just this type of playstyle, but she’s difficult to master. You will need full commitment to the Soulfist to get the most out of the class. The Soulfist has powerful burst damage and combos but a serious lack of survivability.
