The best talisman in Elden Ring

Marika’s Soreseal

Don’t worry magic users, we didn’t forget about you. Marika’s Soreseal is the sorcery and faith equivalent to what Radagon’s Soreseal is for Strength and Dexterity. This time the Talisman will give you five points in Mind, Intelligence, Arcane, and Faith, again the equivalent of 20 levels, but at the cost of taking more damage.

Again, that amount of extra damage is 15%, however, we do have to rank it lower, regardless of if you’re a magic and miracle build because it doesn’t offset that damage with any increase to HP. Ideally, you wouldn’t be getting hit with this build anyway, but Intelligence and Faith builds are already somewhat glass cannons by default, so unless you’re confident in your ability to dodge and avoid getting touched, the risk with this Talisman is slightly higher than the other.

Green Turtle Talisman

This next pick is again more for builds that use some kind of melee option, though might still be worth it for other builds too. The Green Turtle Talisman is one of those Talismans that, once you use it, will be hard to give up. What it does is increase the speed at which your stamina recovers. Think of the Grass Crest shield from Dark Souls, only as a Talisman instead of a shield. It boosts the recovery speed by eight points, which probably doesn’t mean anything to you as a number, but once you actually see it, you’ll realize how drastic that increased speed is when you need to squeeze out an extra roll or need just one more swing to finish off a boss. You can even stack this effect with the other turtle-themed item, the Green Turtle Shell, to further drop your stamina recovery time.

Erdtree’s Favor

HP, Stamina, and Endurance are arguably the most important stats for any Elden Ring player to have regardless of whether they dual wield Uchigatanas or use the powerful Meteor Staff. Moreover, the +2 Variant increases stats HP by 4%, Stamina by 9.5%, and Endurance by 8%, which is a massive buff compared to the other Talismans.

But, in order to reach the much-coveted +2 Variant, players will need to fight three Ulcerated Tree Spirits, which can prove to be a real challenge. Fortunately, players can run past them (if they have enough Stamina) and loot the Talisman without facing them.

Radagon’s Soreseal

The Ragadon’s Soreseal is one of the best Talismans in Elden Ring since it increases numerous stats by 5. And despite its negative effect (-15% Damage Negation), it still is a great Talisman to use in both PVE and PVP.

Moreover, the buffs on this Talisman are the equivalent of 20 levels, which means players can save their precious Runes for something more important. But, players reaching the soft cap of certain stats should be careful using this Talisman as it’ll only produce diminishing returns.

Graven-Mass Talisman

Another Talisman meant only for magic characters, Graven-Mass raises the potency of sorceries. For any player utilizing the different kinds of sorcery in Elden Ring, this Talisman is a must-have. Magic characters will see an instant effect with this equipped, as their spells will deal much more damage.

The Graven-Mass Talisman is located in the Albinuriac Rise tower in the eastern part of Consecrated Snowfields. To get inside the tower, players can use a Bewitching Branch on one of the imps on the stairs to get it to attack the other. This will break the seal that lets players inside the tower.

Gold Scarab

The Gold Scarab Talisman is one of the most coveted in Elden Ring but not for the same reasons as the others on this list. This Talisman increases the Runes players receive when killing an enemy by 20%. Essentially, if players aren’t planning to be in any high-level combat fights or are farming Runes, they need to have this Talisman equipped. It will significantly shorten the time between earning levels or buying pieces of gear.

This golden Talisman is located inside the Abandoned Cave in Caelid. This cave is found just southeast of the Minor Erdtree on the west side of the region. Head inside the cave, and through the Scarlet Rot, to find two Cleanrot Knight bosses at the end. Defeat both of them to loot the Talisman.

Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman

This is easily one of, if not the best defensive Talismans in Elden Ring. Dragoncrest Greatshield increases physical damage negation by 20%, making it a perfect choice for any player looking to survive longer against a boss. Both magic and melee characters can make use of this Talisman if they feel they’re too under-leveled for a boss or are getting hit a little harder than they’d like.

How many talismans can you have in Elden Ring?

You can only equip one Talisman at a time in the beginning of your Elden Ring playthrough. Eventually, you’ll acquire up to three additional Talisman Pouches. Here’s where you can find the other three Talisman Pouches in Elden Ring: Obtained after beating Margit, the Fell Omen.

Is there a talisman that increases strength Elden Ring?

The Radagon’s Soreseal is a great talisman for Quality-build melee players who want a boost to their stats, as it gives you five extra points into Vigor, Endurance, Strength, and Dexterity..
