Weird West Review: Does It Have a Multiplayer Mode? Will it be on game pass?

Weird West: First 15 Minutes of Gameplay

Weird West is an action role-playing video game developed by WolfEye Studios and published by Devolver Digital. The game was released for Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 31, 2022. Here we share our Weird West review with you.

Does Weird West Have a Multiplayer Mode?

Developed by Wolfeye Studios, which comprises of a few Dishonored and Prey alum, Weird West game is set in an alternate version of the Wild West where gunslingers and lawmen also have to contend with fantastical creatures. The game features a beautiful and distinctive art style, and is also highly focused on its narrative elements. If you’re wondering whether Weird West ps4 has a multiplayer mode, here’s what you need to know.

The short answer is, no. Weird West steam does not have any multiplayer features, and is solely a single-player experience.

The game’s main story is told through five chapters, where players are tasked with getting to know various characters and making moment-to-moment decisions that can impact the way the environment reacts to them. Because Weird West is so focused on its story and narrative elements, it’s understandable that there’d be no room for any sort of online co-op or multiplayer, which isn’t surprising considering that Dishonored and Prey were also single-player games.

Even so, there’s plenty to enjoy here if you’re looking for a game that forces you to make interesting decisions that can potentially affect the way the story unfolds.

That’s all you need to know about whether Weird West has a multiplayer mode. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more news and information on the game.

Will Weird West be on game pass?

What makes us most excited about today’s launch of Weird West is how varied the characters feel. You’re not just picking a different hat and boots here: you’re getting a fundamentally different game.

Elsewhere, it’s about saying goodbye to a few games. Luckily, two of them have been recently updated by their sequels, so may the blow be softened – Madden NFL 20 (Cloud, Console and PC), Narita Boy (Cloud, Console and PC) and Shadow Warrior 2 (Cloud, Console and PC).

The first of those is Madden NFL 20, which makes sense. It’s long out of date and most players won’t miss it. Madden NFL 21 and 22 have been released since, and we’re getting Madden NFL 23 this August so, unless you were chasing the last remaining achievements, this won’t be a blow.

Narita Boy might be more so, though. Imagine Tron’s pretentious, arthouse sibling and you’re pretty much there. We found it to be flawed, giving it a 3.5/5, saying that it has “style over substance – a Tron: Evolution rather than Blade Runner, say – when it could have been a bonafide classic”.

Finally, Shadow Warrior 2 takes the curtain, but there is the small matter of the recently released Shadow Warrior 3 to make it less of a problem. As with all Game Pass departees, the games remain on sale for a short period, so make sure you pick them up if you were part way through.

That takes us to the end of the Game Pass changes for March. We’re due some announcements from Xbox about inclusions for April, but – for now – enjoy Weird West from today, and let us know what you think of it in the comments below, or drop us a note on our social channels.

What is Weird West Gameplay?

Weird West is a top-down action role-playing game with elements of the immersive sim genre, with randomized elements through each playthrough. The game is based on the Weird West weapons and genre it borrows its title from, in which the player takes the role of heroes in the American frontier who encounter supernatural elements. The game features the stories of five bounty hunters. The world is designed to be interactive and responsive to the player’s action.

For instance, when the player shoots at an ammo box, it will explode. Actions done by the player in the game are permanent, meaning that they cannot be undone through respawning. The game also features a permadeath mode in which the player character and their companions will die permanently. Actual gameplay is similar to that of a twin-stick shooter, with the team describing it as “action-y version of Fallout 1 or 2”.

What is happening in Weird West Journies?

Werewolf Journey
The big choice during the Werewolf Journey is deciding what to do with the Blood Moon. If you decide to destroy the Blue Moon, then the Absolutionist religion will be disseminated, and the war between witches and werewolves will end.

However, if you unleash the power of the Blood Moon, the war will continue, and you will have to fight werewolves during the Oneirist Journey.

Depending on your decisions, the fate of some characters will vary. For example, if you choose to read Sybil’s journal, you will be forced to kill Cleric Franciscus, and Leila will become an outlaw if you destroy the Blood Moon.

Oneirist Journey
The big decision in the Oneirist Journey is no other than the fate of the west itself, if you answer with emotion during the final interrogatory, then Aleph will become mortal, and the world will be saved. However, if you only give neutral answers, Aleph will remain immortal, and the 21 will destroy the world.

Across Rivers
Unlike the other Journeys where you have to make a big final decision before the Journey ends, during the Protector Journey Across Rivers’ fate is decided during three side quests: “Badge of Honor” and “Out Of House And Home.”

If you return the Sheriff’s badge as well as the land titles before the Journey ends, Across Rivers will resist the greed spirit, and the Wiindigo will be banished from the west; if you don’t, then the hero will become a Wiindigo by the end of the Journey.

You’ll get the Badge of Honor sidequest in Weird West when you speak with the Sheriff’s wife in Boulder Creek, and you’ll get the Out Of House And Home sidequest in Galen’s Crossing if you talk with the crowd outside Major Week’s house.

How long will Weird West be?

If you’re looking to just mainline the story and figure out the answers to what on earth is happening, Weird West will probably run you around 15 hours. This puts each episode at an average of three hours, but some do run a little shorter than others, so you can easily go over or under that total.

Will Weird West be on game pass?

Howdy, Xbox Game Pass members! We’re excited and anxious to have you play Weird West and hope you will like the many things the game has to offer. We’ve been working very hard on this baby, for many years, with a small team of passionate experts in the immersive sim genre.

Is Coromon complete?

It will come out on March 31, 2022, for PC and the Nintendo Switch, with releases also coming to iOS, tvOS, and Android platforms.

Can you customize your character in Weird West?

Unfortunately, there is no apparent way to change characters in Weird West. While you can have multiple party members, there is seemingly no way to swap between them, and they only function as NPC helpers. Weird West has five episodic chapters to play, and in each take control of a different specific main character.
