Fortnite Coachella Bundle Release Date

Fortnite Coachella Bundle Release Date, Skin, & Accessories: How to Get Them?

The game of all games keeps growing: After securing nearly every IP to be part of the game, and landing Billie Eilish, Fortnite is now adding Coachella to its insanely stacked resume.

Fortnite Partners With Coachella

Fortnite is officially partnering with the music festival to bring both the music and the fashion into the game. Yes, that means a bunch of new items are going to be added to the store. Also, songs from the festival will be available in the game via its Icon Radio station: While driving around, you can listen to Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, and more.

There is no word on whether there will be any in-game concerts, like we got with Travis Scott and Ariana Grande, but one can still hope. The items arriving will come in waves: The first wave includes the Wilder and Lyric outfits, along with equalizer skins that react to the music. More specifically, Wilder comes with the Finfin Back Bling, a Neon Biter Pickaxe and the Finfin Flair Wrap. Lyric comes with the Swaguaro Back Bling, and aside from all that, the Festival Shredder Pickaxe is available solo.

The second waves of items will be released on April 21, and includes the Alto outfit, equipped with the Sonic Vibes Back Bling and the Softest Electropalm Pickaxe. Wave two also includes Poet, who comes with the Cosmonautic Helmet Back Bling, and additionally we get the Cactical Crusher Pickaxe, and the Mainstage Wrap.

Fortnite Coachella bundle release date

The first lot of Coachella skins are available in Fortnite from Thursday, April 14, at 8 PM ET | 5 PM | 12 AM GMT, with two limited edition outfits releasing at once. These will be followed up by a second batch on Thursday, April 21, at 8 PM ET | 5 PM | 12 AM GMT, when another pair of outfits will drop.

Given that the real-life Coachella festival runs from Friday, April 15 to Sunday, April 24, these dates arent too surprising.

If you’re lucky enough to be attending Coachella and don’t want to miss out, don’t worry, the cosmetics will be available all the way until Monday, May 16.

Over the course of the event, tuning in to Icon Radio in any in-game vehicle will let you hear music from 30 artists included on the Coachella bill. For fans of Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, and Swedish House Mafia, this isn’t to be missed.

How to get the Fortnite Coachella bundle

Both Fortnite Coachella bundles are available from the in-game Item shop, and can be purchased using V-Bucks accumulated from the Battle Pass, or purchased with real money.

We won’t know the exact pricing until the first bundle hits the store, but based on past collaborations we’d expect each one to cost 1,500 to 2,200 V-Bucks.

It’s worth noting that parts of each collection can be bought individually for a cheaper price. Again, we don’t know the exact cost breakdown yet, but it’s safe to assume that skins will be around 800 to 1,200 V-Bucks, while smaller items will be around 200 to 500 V-Bucks.

Fortnite Coachella Skin

The first “Rocking at Coachella” bundle includes two skins called Wilder and Lyric. The outfits also come with matching accessories in the Finfin Back Bling, Neon Biter Pickaxe, and Finfin Flair Wrap, which actually react to live music. Fun.

The second “Dancing at Coachella” bundle, also offers two new skins: Alto and Poet, as well as the Softest Electropalm pickaxe, Cactical Crusher pickaxe, Mainstage wrap, and an Enter the Coachellaverse loading screen (for those with an affinity for the cute couple on the promo art). All of the aforementioned outfits and items can be purchased together or individually.

For those looking to show off their festival style, especially the music-reactive bits, Fortnite will hold a photo contest for player screenshots shared online with the hashtag #Fortography on Twitter or through the post flair on the r/FortNiteBR subreddit. The Fortnite team says it will share its favorites in a blog post on April 29.

Coachella’s all about being yourself, so keep the good vibes going doing just that,” the Fortnite Team said in a blog post.

Coachella brings style and music to Fortnite with new skins and accessories

No, Coachella absolutely won’t be live in Fortnite, as Epic Games has done with other musical acts and events. Instead, Fortnite players can dress like they’re going to Coachella while playing the battle royale video game. Coachella’s organizers insist on referring to the concert series as a “Coachellaverse,” and with this collaboration with Epic Games and Fortnite, they’re … sort of … making good of it?

Beyond the outfits, there are new accessory skins, like a neon shark, a flaming guitar, and a glowing cactus — all of which are reactive to music. Epic Games says these are the “first wave” of Coachella items, dropping Thursday at 8 p.m. EDT. The others include an astronaut helmet and a smiley face wearing headphone, and those — as well as other full outfits and skins — launch on April 21 at 8 p.m. EDT.

The other part of all this is that players can listen to Coachella artists in car radios throughout Fortnite. “Icon Radio will air songs from over 30 artists featured in Coachella 2022,” Epic Games wrote. “While driving around in battle, turn to Icon Radio to add good vibes to your side.”

The popular battle royale game isn’t back on the App Store (where it’s been missing since Apple pulled the app from its storefront in August 2020), but iPhone and iPad owners can now stream Fortnite to play on their phones and tablets through Nvidia’s GeForce Now service, which opened up a closed beta today to test the …
