A new rating issued in South Korea has sparked rumors of a possible remake or remaster of Red Dead Redemption.
Idle Sloth, on Twitter, spotted that South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) listed something titled “Red Dead Redemption” in June, separate from the original 2010 game and Red Dead Redemption 2, which are already rated on the GRAC website.
The listing provides no further details, except that this version of Red Dead Redemption has also received an 18 rating.
The GRAC has been a source of several leaks in recent years. For instance, it listed the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign remaster before its official announcement, and it also leaked the unannounced LEGO football video game from 2K.
While the ratings from GRAC do not reveal specific release dates, it is worth noting that both God of War: Ragnarok and Marvel’s Midnight Suns were listed approximately six months before their respective launches last year. So, the chances of a Red Dead Redemption remaster or even remake being in the works are high.
