Klombos are Wildlife in Fortnite: Battle Royale. They were introduced in Chapter 3: Season 1.

What is a Klombo in fortnite?

Fortnite’s 19.10 patch adds a huge dinosaur called a Klombo or “Colombo” to the island, along with the return of Tilted Towers. These gentle giants won’t attack you unless provoked, and they can even reward you with items if you tame them with Klomberries.

Klombos will slowly move across the map. Players can stand on top of one and it move along with it. Klombos can be fed with Klomberries, which will sometimes make it shoot an item out of its blowhole, on the back of its head. This item will bounce a few times before stopping. Standing on the blowhole will launch the player very high into the air, and initiate Glider Redeploy. Klombos will eat up to two klomberries at a time.

Klombos will consume all loot they stumble upon and destroy all structures they go through.

Attacking a Klombo will cause it to become aggressive. Klombos will rear onto their hind legs, before shooting a ball of damaging acid at the player, or charging and stomping on them if they are close enough. Klombos only take 1 damage from any damage source, so it is not advised to ever attack them.

Where to find dinosaurs in Fortnite: Klombos locations

The latest Fortnite update, v19.10, is bringing players back in time a bit with the return of the iconic Tilted Towers location and the emergence of dinosaurs.

The dinosaurs are officially known as Klombos, legendary and massive creatures that roam around the island peacefully unless they’re provoked. Players who don’t try to attack them can climb up the Klombos’ tails to reach the blowhole that’s on top of their head and get launched. Klombos will also spit out gear.

Where can I find the Klombos in Fortnite?

There’s usually more than one Klombos on the map during the game, but there’s no easy way of locating one since they can spawn all across the map. There are a couple of hotspots you should check, though:

  • In the grasslands around the Daily Bugle.
  • To the west of Santcuary.
  • Around the lakes at both Logjam Lumberyard and Camp Cuddle.

You can also find them near other bodies of water, such as lakes and rivers. And since they’re considered wildlife, they’ll roam around. There’s a good chance that you’ll hear the Klombos before you see them, so make sure you have your headphones turned up to hear either their high-pitched call or their stomps.

If you do find one in the wild, you can feed them food items to get them to lower their tail for you, allowing you access to the blowhole. Feeding them can also get them to drop items for you. Klombos will destroy any destructible structures or items it runs into as well.

Klombos are huge and noisy creatures, so they’re hard to miss. You’ll probably hear them long before you see them, or you might notice them knocking down structures and trees. Being so large means they tend to spawn in more open areas (not too close to named locations or landmarks).

We’ve spotted Klombos at the locations pinned on the Fortnite Klombos map above:

  • South of Coney Crossroads
  • Along the shore north-northeast of Daily Bugle
  • Along the shore to the north of Logjam Lumberyards
  • In the southwest, south of Greasy Grove and west of Chonker’s Speedway
  • North of The Joneses

We’ll update the map above as we find more spawn points.

How Much Health Does the Klombo Have in Fortnite?

According to the Fortnite Wiki, the Klombo has 2000 health.

While this does mean you can kill the Klombo, it will take a significant amount of time, patience and ammo to accomplish. Any weapon you use on the Klombo will result in one damage per attack. Unless you get help from the rest of your squad and have plenty of time on your hands, it is very challenging to kill the Klombo. Additionally, Klombos have multiple attacks, including projectile acid balls and stomping on you if it becomes aggressive. Since they will not usually attack you unless you damage it first, it is safer to leave it alone or feed it Klomberries.
