America’s Got Talent : Who Made It Through the Third Quarter-Final ?

America’s Got Talent Third Quarter-Final

A ‘frustrated’ Simon Cowell warns ‘AGT’ semifinalists to ‘get better.’ Here’s who advanced.

The final spots in the semifinals are up for grabs on “America’s Got Talent.”

But if you ask Simon Cowell, out of all 12 acts that performed Tuesday, “only three (contestants) were better than their first audition.”

“When you come on this stage, you got to bring your ‘A’ game,” Cowell said, warning all competitors during Wednesday’s results show. “You got to get better if you want to win… I was frustrated not for myself, but for the acts.”

Good thing it’s up to America to decide who moves on to the semifinals. Only seven will advance, while the million-dollar dream for five of the acts will end tonight.

Season 13 “AGT” and “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” winner Shin Limreturned Wednesday to perform a magical duet with violinist Lindsey Stirling, a quarter-finalist from Season 5.

Last night on ‘AGT‘:Wild card winner Storm Large returns to competition, but fails to impress Simon Cowell
Here’s what happened during the “America’s Got Talent” live results show:

The fans’ picks

The five acts that received the most votes automatically advanced.

Rialcris was the first act to move forward following their death-defying acrobatic routine.

Sofía Vergara, who has a soft spot for fellow Colombians, called the trio “perfecto… Don’t change a thing.”
Quick change artist Léa Kyle, Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzer winner, was also safe. Klum said, “You made your Golden Buzzer mama really proud.”

ChapKidz joined them in the safe zone soon after, following their “sensational” dance routine that Cowell dubbed the “best act by a mile” last night. Mandel went a step further Wednesday, calling them “the best dancing act we’ve had on Season 16.”
World Taekwondo Demonstration Team, Terry Crews’ Golden Buzzer act, and singer Brooke Simpson both advanced in a dramatic reveal that made viewers believe only one was moving forward. “I’m not surprised with what just happened,” Vergara said.

The face-off

Michael Winslow (voicetramentalist), Storm Large (singer) and UniCircle Flow (unicycle group) finished in the middle of the pack and were on the brink of elimination.

“I’m really sad to see you guys in their position,” Heidi Klum said. “This competition is tough this time around.”

The three acts went head-to-head in a live-voting round for the “Dunkin’ Save,” where fans had the opportunity to rescue only one performer. Whoever received the most votes in a 30-minute flash round would move on.
In the end, viewers saved Winslow. He let his sounds do the talking and produced a palpitating heart sound to explain just how nervous he felt.

But the final results weren’t in just yet. The judges had a chance to save either UniCircle Flow or Large, the first-ever winner of “AGT: America’s Wildcard.”

“It’s so hard because I believe in both of you… but if I don’t pick one they are going to fire me,” Vergara said, before picking UniCircle Flow. Klum voted for Large. Cowell called the choice “tricky,” but selected UniCircle Flow. Mandel agreed, sending UniCircle Flow into the semifinals.
The act with the most overnight viewer votes would advance: UniCircle Flow.

Eliminated

The four acts with the fewest votes – Klek Entos (magician); ANICA (singer); Keith Apicary (dancer); and The Curtis Family C-Notes (band) – were eliminated.

Large was also sent packing.

Next week

“America’s Got Talent” will return Tuesday for the first semifinal round (NBC, 8 EDT/PDT), where 12 other acts will try to blow America away to advance to the finals.

Next week’s performers include Dustin Tavella (magician); Michael Winslow (voicetramentalist); Korean Soul (vocal quartet); Tory Vagasy (singer); Gina Brillon (comedian); Peter Rosalita (singer); Aidan Bryant (aerialist); Madilyn Bailey (singer); UniCircle Flow (unicycle dance group); and Golden Buzzer winners Jimmie Herrod (singer) and World Taekwondo Demonstration Team (martial arts group).

‘America’s Got Talent’ Results: All the Contestants Who Made It Through the Third Quarter-Final

America’s Got Talent (AGT) 2021 has wrapped up its quarter-final stages, with the first semi-final set to take place on September 1. Last night (August 25), the final seven acts joining the 14 already through to the semi-finals were announced.

Overnight, the public had been voting for their favorite acts, choosing for an array of talent including singers, dance troupes, magicians and unique acrobatics. The third quarter-final also included singer Storm Large, the winner of the Wild Card public vote who took place earlier this month—but was her performance enough to secure a spot in the semis next week? Newsweek has the full list of all the contestants who made it through the third quarter-final.

All The Contestants Who Made it Through the Third ‘AGT’ Quarter-Final

The show began with host Terry Crews announcing the three acts who were up for the Instant Save Vote.

Voice artist Michael Winslow, singer Storm Large, and unicycling act Unicircle Flow had another shot at being sent through the semis and the decision lay in the hands of the public.

After 30 minutes passed, Winslow secured his spot in the semis after winning 40% of the Instant Save Vote.
Winslow joined the five other acts who received the most vote from the public overnight but Unicircle Flow’s and Storm Large’s journey is not over just yet.

The five other acts safely through to the semis are:

Rialcris

Columbian trio Rialcris wowed the judges and audiences with their incredible hand-balancing act.

Lea Kyle

Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzer act Lea Kyle impressed the judges and audiences at home with her mind-blowing quick-change routine.
Chapkidz

Dance group ChapKidz delivered an incredible performance during the quarter-finals and they even managed to spell out AGT initials with their bodies as part of the routine.

The group, consisting of 12-to-18-year-olds, even received a standing ovation from the judges.

Brooke Simpson

Singer Brooke Simpson was overwhelmed to be sent through to the semi-finals after her performance of “Lost Cause” by Billie Eilish.

Even better, judge Simon Cowell said Simpson was “absolutely amazing” and could be a “real surprise going forward.”

World Taekwondo Demo. Team

Terry Crew’s Golden Buzzer act World Taekwondo Demo Team did not disappoint with their gripping routine.

After the public vote results were announced, it was down to the judges to decide between Instant Save acts Unciricle Flow and Storm Large.

For the first time this season, the judges did not come to a deadlock decision and the results of the bottom two did not have to go down to the public vote.

Sofia Vergara voted to save Unicircle Flow alongside Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel, with Heidi Klum being the only judge to cast the vote for Storm Large.

The five acts that sadly did not make it through to the semis from the last America’s Got Talent quarter-final were Klek Entos, Keith Apicary, The Curtis Family C-Notes, ANIKA and Storm Large.

The first America’s Got Talent Semi-Final takes place September 1 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

America’s Got Talent

America’s Got Talent (often abbreviated as AGT) is a televised American talent show competition, and is part of the global Got Talent franchise created by Simon Cowell.

The program is produced by Fremantle USA and Syco Entertainment, distributed by the former, and broadcast on the NBC television network, premiering on June 21, 2006, after plans for a British edition in 2005 were suspended following a dispute within the British broadcaster ITV; production would later resume in 2007, following the success of the first season. Each season is mainly run during the network’s summer schedule, and has featured various hosts over the course of the program’s history; the current host is Terry Crews.

The program attracts a variety of participants, from across the United States and abroad, to take part and who possess some form of talents, with acts ranging from singing, dancing, comedy, magic, stunts, variety, and other genres.

Each participant who auditions attempts to secure a place in the live episodes of a season by impressing a panel of judges – the current line-up consists of Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara. Those that make it into the live episodes compete against each other for both the judges’ and public’s vote in order to reach the live final, where the winner receives a large cash prize, primarily paid over a period of time, and, since the third season, a chance to headline a show on the Las Vegas Strip.

The show itself has been a rating success for NBC, drawing in on average around 10 million viewers per season.

In 2013, a book titled Inside AGT:

The Untold Stories of America’s Got Talent was released, providing a description of the seasons, contestants, judges, and production techniques of the show, along with detailed interviews with contestants from all seasons, up to the date of the book’s publication.

Since July 2021, the program has run for a total of sixteen seasons, and has spawned two spin-off competitions: America’s Got Talent: The Champions, which premiered in January 2019; and upcoming series AGT: Extreme which will premiere in midseason of summer 2021.
