‘Harry Potter’ Star Tom Felton Faints During Celebrity Golf Match, Carted Off Wisconsin Course

British actor Tom Felton collapsed during a celebrity golf match at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin ahead of the Ryder Cup on Thursday.

In one of the photos that surfaced on Twitter on Thursday, three men can be seen holding the 34-year-old actor and trying to get him on the cart after he gained consciousness.

In another photo, the actor can be seen sitting on the golf course with the staff members around him. He was conscious when the staff carted him off the golf course on a stretcher. The cause of his collapse is still unknown.

Fans sent their well-wishes to the actor on Twitter.

One person wrote, “Tom all your fans we love and support you, you are a very strong person and you will come out of this.”

Guys Tom Felton will tell us when he’s ready just for right now let him get some rest I bet he needs it,” another user noted.

In the game, the actor was part of the European team and played against the U.S. team. Besides Felton, many other celebrities attended the event, including Mandy Rose, Sasha Vujačić, Toni Kukoč, Mike Eruzione, Kelly Slater, Stephanie Szostak, A.J. Hawk and Dan Jansen.

The incident took place just one day after the actor celebrated his 34th birthday on Wednesday.

Harry Potter star Tom Felton, who was earlier rumored to be dating Emma Watson, was on the 18th hole when he went down.

He was helped to his feet, placed on a stretcher and driven away in a golf cart.

He turned 34 on Wednesday. “In today’s Ryder Cup Celebrity Match, actor and musician Tom Felton experienced a medical incident on the course while participating for Europe,” the statement read, as reported by The Independent. “He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.”

The Independent also reported that Tom was participating in a team event with Teemu Selanne, a former professional ice hockey player. According to the BBC, Tom and Teemu were facing 1980 US Olympic hockey captain Mike Eurzione and Olympic speed skater Dan Jansen in the match.

On his 33rd birthday this year, Tom Felton shared a monochrome photo of himself. The actor also penned a note for himself on Instagram. He wrote, “33 years done – good lord it’s been so much fun getting here – yet, somehow, I still feel the best is yet to come – thank you all for your love , support & sense of humour – let’s keep a good thing going – to the next 33 xx (sic).”

On Thursday, he thanked his elder brother Chris Felton with a childhood photo of the two of them. He wrote, “Thanks brother – for everything x (sic).”

Tom Felton is known for the role of Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series.

Apart from the Harry Potter series, Tom has appeared in a number of films and television shows. In the third season of the DC superhero series The Flash he played the role of Julian Albert. In 2018, he headlined the American science fiction drama Origin.

Felton, who turned 34 this week, was representing Team Europe in the celebrity Ryder Cup match alongside former footballer Alessandro Del Piero, former NBA players Toni Kukoč and Sasha Vujačić, former NHL player Teemu Selänne and actress Stephanie Szostak.

The 43rd Ryder Cup between Europe and USA gets underway on Friday.
