What is Destiny 2 new dungeon?

Dungeons are three-person end-game level PVE content that feature unique and challenging puzzles, platforming, and boss mechanics. They’re typically shorter than Raids and longer than Raid Encounters (single-stage activities used in the Leviathan before it disappeared). Dungeons typically take anywhere from 1–3 hours to complete depending on your build and Fireteam coordination.

The first Dungeon was released as part of the Forsaken expansion, the second during Shadowkeep, the third during Season of Arrivals, and the most recent with the 30th Anniversary DLC. If you haven’t tried them yet, now’s the time to check them out. Bungie announced that there will be a new Dungeon or Raid released every season starting in 2022, so there’s more to come!

Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted is here, kicking off another three months with new story developments, a season pass, and a new seasonal artifact.

Unlike Season 16, though, which added the Vow of the Disciple raid, Season 17 will add a new Dungeon called Duality. For those that are new to Destiny 2, Dungeons are mechanic-heavy, three-player endgame encounters that bridge the gap between Strikes and Raids.

The Dungeon arrives with two difficulty options; Normal and Master. Normal will require players to hit Power Level 1550, but as of the time of writing, we don’t know what the Master requirement will be.

In Bungie’s latest blog post, the developer still hasn’t revealed the Master requirement, so we could be waiting until the Dungeon launches to find out.

As Bungie explains:

“[The] best way to get this dungeon, as well as the one coming in Season 19, is to have the Digital Deluxe Edition of The Witch Queen. If you have that, you are already good to go!”

“If you want to experience an entire year of Destiny 2 content and haven’t purchased the Deluxe Edition yet, starting next Tuesday, it’s going to be on sale for 25% off.”

Bungie has also released a Dungeon Key in the game’s Eververse store which will set players back 2000 Silver (around $20 or £20).

Destiny 2 Season 17 Dungeon Rewards

With new tweaks in the Solar 3.0 update and many more, Season 17 is poised to improve upon the changes introduced by Bungie during The Witch Queen expansion and Season of the Risen.

While Season 17 dropped three days ago, fans are still waiting of the next Dungeon activity, and here’s everything that Guardians need to know about it.

Other than that, Bungie has revealed a list of all the rewards that will be available for players to earn through the dungeon as well. This includes:

1 Legendary Armor Set Per Class (Artifice Versions can also be acquired via Master Difficulty)
4 Legendary New Weapons
2 Legendary Reprised Weapons
1 Exotic Weapon
1 Exotic Catalyst
1 Exotic Accessory (Ship or Sparrow)
2 Legendary Emblems

Guardians are excited to play as trios in the popular Destiny 2 endgame activity for the first time since the arrival of Grasp of Avarice, which released during the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack, and it will be interesting to see what new challenges that players might have to face in the latest edition.

How to Get Access to the New Dungeon in Destiny 2

If you have already purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition of The Witch Queen expansion, you will get free access to the new dungeon and the next dungeon in Season 19.

In case you don’t have the Digital Deluxe Edition, you can purchase The Witch Queen Dungeon Key from Eververse for 2000 Silver, which unlocks access to both upcoming dungoens.

Destiny 2 is now available for free on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Stadia, and PC.

Destiny 2 S:17 Dungeon Release Time

As per the reports that are present on the internet and social media, the developer and publisher Bungie is all set to drop the latest update of their game, Destiny 2, this week. There are rumors and leaks which have been circulating on the internet that there will be new stuff for the Guardians.

Well, for starters, the Dungeon will arrive on May 27 at 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET/ 5 PM GMT/ 10:30 PM IST. The dungeon can only be accessed using the Witch Queen Dungeon Key, which also provides access to the Season 19 dungeon as well. Players who own The Witch Queen Deluxe Edition or have upgraded their already-owned copy to Deluxe will receive the key immediately upon updating the game. Guardians who don’t own the Deluxe Edition can purchase the key a la carte from the Eververse store for 2000 Silver or via the Duality dungeon node or Hawthorne vendor when the dungeon launches.

Destiny 2 Season 17 Armor Sets and Weapons Leaked

Season 17 of Destiny 2 is no different, although Bungie appears to have dropped the ball this time around. We’ve learned that all three new armor sets and several new weapons are expected to be released with this season’s Throne World PvP level Disjunction, which was featured in last week’s TWAB blog post.

It looks like the armor and weapons in the image were upscaled using AI. As an example, the hunter’s cloak bears insignia that could be a new version of an Eliksni house. If that is the case, then Season 17 will also be Fallen-themed.

No one knows for sure if these are Fallen-themed armor sets, but based on their silhouettes, it appears as though they must be armed with a sword and trace rifle.

According to Forbes, a recent leak stated that a ‘Destiny 1’ Exotic will be arriving to Destiny 2 in Season 17.

Bungie mistakenly disclosed this old Exotic’s comeback in their blog titled ‘This Week at Bungie’ due to the redacted exotic not being redacted in Japanese.

For its first period in Season 17, The Trespasser will be making an appearance in the game. In Destiny 1, the Rise of Iron expansion included the exotic sidearm.

When a (REDACTED) weapon was listed as one of the “outliers” for Destiny 2’s new Airborne Effectiveness stat, the blog’s ‘redacted’ feature didn’t work in Japan, therefore the exotic was revealed.

More evidence can be found in the improvements made to the Iron Banner in Destiny 2 Season 17. Although Trespasser was added to Destiny 1 for the first time during the Rise of Iron expansion, there are a number of clues that suggest Warmind AI Rasputin may also make a comeback during the next season.
