Lost Ark Glaivier Class Overview

Lost Ark Glaivier Class Overview: How Does It Work? What Are The Weapons?

Lost Ark Glaivier class has a lot to offer, but you’re not going to get the most out of it if you don’t have the right builds. Lost Ark‘s massive April update is finally here, which means that millions of the MMOARPG’s players are looking for advice on how to build the game’s latest advanced class, Glaiviers.

Lost Ark Glaivier Class Overview

The Glaivier, also known as the Lance Master in Korea, is an advanced class within the Martial Artist main melee class, released within the hefty April Update. She is joining an already versatile set of champions in the Martial Artist main class and offers a plethora of badass abilities.

She uses her trusty glaive and spear to slice through enemies with flurries of fury. This lovely blend of combat tactics and skills makes the Glaivier class an incredible option for anyone who wants the best of both worlds.

But, mastering her isn’t quite as simple as many other classes. She offers variation concerning playstyles and the use of her weapons – either individually or in tandem. Compared to her Martial Artist counterparts, – the Scrapper, Soulfist, Striker, and Wardancer – Lost Ark Glaivier class is by far the most challenging to nail down.

Players will need to get the hang of juggling her two different attacks in order to chain them together for epic and flawless combos. Players can focus entirely on one of her two weapons, but her true force is unleashed when players can strike a perfect balance between both.

Thankfully, finding your feet with Lost Ark Glaivier class can still be fun, straightforward, and extremely rewarding. We’ve outlined everything you need to know to find the best Glaivier class build for you, with stats and images thanks to Dexerto, Vulkk, Fanbyte, and The Games Cabin.

Lost Ark – 8 Minutes of Glaivier Class Gameplay

The Glaivier using her spear and glaive she can unleash a fury of powerful attacks from a mid-range distance. Her stance chance mechanic allows for a wide variety of moves to be used which get buffed the longer she remains in each stance. While in the fury stance she can unleash a flurry of quick attacks, but the focus stance has more powerfully lethal sweeping attacks. These 8 minutes of Glaivier gameplay in a Chaos Dungeon and Guardian Raid show off her skills in battle.

Lost Ark Glaivier Class: How it Works

Lost Ark Glaivier is an advanced class of the Martial Artists (Female) class, and you don’t need to do anything in particular to gain access. Just boot up the game, select any of your available character slots, and pick the class. After going through the tutorial phase, make the selection before embarking on the main quest and you’ll be all set.

Lost Ark Glaivier is a melee-focused class that uses a spear as a primary weapon. As a specialty, you can switch between Flurry and Focus stances, each packing different skills. In addition, there is a Dual Metter mechanic that triggers an additional effect if you change stances at the right time.

It’s going to take some time to know how the class is going to fare in PVE and PVP, but from my own short experience, they’re a highly agile character. Attacks cover quite a bit of ground and it’s easy to leap towards enemies, gaining a bit of height in the process. The spear itself has a decent range, too, which can be great to chase people trying to escape your reach in PVP.

Lost Ark Glaivier Class Weapons

Lost Ark Glaivier will be quite different from the four other Martial Artist’s subclasses. Firstly, she wields two weapons, which each has a different set of abilities. Secondly, she’ll be the most versatile Martial Artist subclass in the game due to her lance, which gives her more range. She looks like she’s going to dominate in high-end duties, provided the players take the time and the effort to master her playstyle.

“While certain builds may focus your attention onto one of these weapons, an effective Glaivier can maximize their potential by creating a balance between the two stances, building up energy in one stance which grants an impactful stat-boost when swapping to the other,” the developer wrote to describe the class.

Here are some of the abilities shown in the Russian version of the game, where the Glaivier was released as the fourth Martial Artist subclass. The blue abilities refer to her long-ranged lance stance and the red ones to her short-ranged glaive stance.

Players will be able to test her out when choosing the subclass during character creation, and the developer will give a free Powerpass to all players, which will enable them to skip all quests and level up until Feiton for one character of their choice.

The Glaivier will feature two class-specific engravings, similar to all other classes. One of the Glaivier’s engravings will allow her to boost her stats by canceling her specialty meter, and the other cancels the Focus stance to boost her Flurry abilities.

Lost Ark Glaivier Party Synergy Effect

Lost Ark Glaivier’s Party Synergy is called Critical Spear and is found only in the Third Row Tripods for the Shackling Blue Dragon skill in the Flurry Stance.

This debuff reduces a foe’s Critical Resistance by 3-18% based on the level of the Shackling Blue Dragon Skill, and whether or not the Critical Spear Tripod is taken. The effect lasts for 6 seconds when applied

With the longer cooldown of this skill, it’ll be crucial to use it when your full rotation is ready for maximum Damage. Look to use it when your support is also buffing your damage to get even more out of it.

Glaivier Stat Priority

Specialization
Specialization helps Lost Ark Glaivier to build their meter, which helps you the most prior to getting a class engraving, or if you choose to go for the Pinnacle Class Engraving, which utilizes both stances. It’s less important to the Control Class Engraving setup however as you won’t stance swap at all but can still speed up how quickly you build your meter.

Swiftness
Swiftness is the preferred stat for the Control Class Engraving, as you’ll want to keep your skills rotating easier and faster to deal with consistent DPS. It’s also the go-to secondary stat for the Pinnacle Build for similar reason, thougb with more skills, there’s less need to make them all rotate faster.

Crit
While the Glaivier gets a good amount of Crit Rate from their Synergy Skill, gear and Tripods, Crit can still worth getting on your Necklace at the very least. This extra bit of Crit helps you be as close to 100% Crit as you can be with other party synergy skills without over-capping. You may also need more of it early on, while not really needing it at all later on.

Lost Ark: Best Glaivier Builds For PvE and PvP

There are two main types of Glaivier builds in Lost Ark: Control and Pinnacle.

A Pinnacle Glaivier player is looking to balance their use of both those stances in order to make the most out of the various abilities and bonuses each offer. While your choice between those stances will often be determined by your current situation, you’ll also need to learn how to maximize your Identity Gauge so that you always swap into Focus stance when the biggest buff possible is available. In other words, Pinnacle Glaivier builds are pure stance dancers.

Control Glaivier builds ignore the Focus stance skills entirely. While that means that they miss out on some of the class’ biggest attacks and best buffs, it also means that they don’t have to worry about managing their resources quite as much. They’re also better able to focus on the class’ speed-based abilities and sneakier attacks.

What is a Glaivier?

See, Glaiviers are a “stance-swapping” class. Specifically, they have the ability to swap between Flurry and Focus stances. While in Flurry stance (also known as the “Blue” or “Glaive” stance), Glaiviers have access to a variety of abilities that revolve around their glaives.
