Lock&Key : Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon (Lolahol) debuts first single

Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon debuts first single, ‘Lock&Key’

Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon has released her first music single and revealed her new stage name.

Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes Leon, released her debut musical single this week — following in the footsteps of her pop queen mum with a synth-heavy dance party anthem, reported Page Six.

News.com.au : The 25-year-old songstress dropped the dreamy, trip-hop tune “Lock&Key” under the stage name Lolahol, along with a steamy music video set in spots around New York City.

In the video, the singer is seen moving on the hood of an SUV, striking a pose and interacting with a clean-cut beefcake in a cemetery.

Near the end, she’s shown doing splits on a beach while wearing only a tangle of ropes and a fishing net around her waist.

Who is Lourdes Leon (Lolahol)

Lourdes Leon is a fashion model and the daughter of Madonna.

She got her start in the fashion industry in 2010 when she collaborated with her mother to launch Macy’s Material Girl fashion and beauty line. Leon made her runway debut in 2018 at New York Fashion Week for Gypsy Sport. In 2021, she starred in campaigns for Swarovski and Marc Jacobs, appeared on the cover of Vogue and walked the runway for Versace at Milan Fashion Week.

Back in October, while speaking with actress and family friend Debi Mazar for Interview, Leon discussed bringing a multi-faceted approach to her creative projects. “I don’t have a specific goal. I probably should.

nme.com : I have a very specific sense of style, and I’m interested in aesthetics, so I like to incorporate all those parts of myself into my projects,” she said.

“I don’t know how I feel about acting yet. I think it’s about finding a role that wouldn’t be too far off from who I am already. Honestly, actors really annoy me and I can’t be around them. As for music, I can sing. I just don’t care about it. Maybe it’s too close to home.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, when asked about her favourite genre of music, Leon replied: “I’ve always been a big house and techno person, ever since I was young.”

Meanwhile, last week Madonna released ‘Finally Enough Love’, a 50-track compilation that celebrates the singer achieving a record-breaking 50 number one singles on the US Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.

Earlier this month, Madonna held a roller disco in New York City to celebrate the album, reuniting with Nile Rodgers to discuss creating ‘Like A Virgin’ together. The Roots‘ Questlove also served as a DJ at the event, playing Madonna hits alongside other disco classics.
