What Are Apex Legends Ash Skins

What Are Apex Legends Ash Skins? What Are Her Abilities?

Here we’ll talk about all the best Ash skins that Respawn has released in Apex Legends so far in 2022.

Apex Legends Ash

Apex Legends Season 11: Escape is now live across all platforms, bringing the new map Storm Front and the new offensive legend Ash. Like the start of previous seasons, there are a ton of new items available in the game, primarily from the new battle pass and all of the unlockable items available for the new legend.

Like other legends, Ash launched with four legendary skins available as part of the base game. All four of these skins now have a chance to appear in Apex Packs or can be crafted with 1,200 crafting materials. Like other base game legendary skins, these skins cannot be purchased directly with Apex Coins, unless they are featured in the store for that week. There is also a fifth legendary skin available for Ash as part of her launch bundle.

Her abilities allow her to mark the death boxes of players on the map, inflict damage, and her ultimate makes a one-way portal. She has a collection of compelling skins and players are considered lucky if they manage to get their hands on them

Apex Legends Ash skins

Denizen of the Deep

Introduced to the game during the Dark Depths thematic event, Denizen of the Deep seemed to take equal cues from the deep and sometimes mythical ocean-themed skins from the rest of the Dark Depths cosmetics, and the pirate stylings of the Raiders collection event that came just before it. The skin makes Ash’s trademark hood part of a bigger garment, complete with a leather coat and brass finishings, while the normally-angular blades adorning her body gets a more old-timey, scimitar look to them.

Mercenary Mystique

The skin presents Ash as more of a cobbled-together hunter than the model of perfection, but what it lacks in beauty, it more than makes up for in brutal intimidation. The skin is tied together at top and bottom with a bird theme, with a hawk skull and feathers decorating Ash’s hood, while her feet have been transformed into steel talons. The green and khaki version of this skin, Eagle-Eyed, also shows off Ash’s scary side.

Venom Blade

The colors and lines of the skin design all work incredibly well in tandem with each other, and the extra lines drawn on Ash’s face and lips push the skin over the edge from “good” to “great.” Glowing red details on her forehead, bottom lip, and legs complete the look and make it truly unique.

Fallen Angel

The skin itself is beautiful, befitting the “angel” moniker. The metallic, dark blue elements of the skin are certainly more muted than its Chaotic Emerald counterpart, but these muted elements also make the main attraction of the skin stand out even more: the gold embellishments poking out from under the blue rib cage, extending as spikes from the shoulders, and creating her blade-like legs.

Burning Chrome

There’s nothing too much crazy going on with Burning Chrome skin. However, the shiny silver plating and blue color combination make the skin look pleasing to the eyes. Burning Chrome was featured in the Anniversary Collection Event in Season 12.

Modern Primitive

As the name suggests, Modern Primitive skin is primal-looking skin but, with a modern touch. The Black metal body with a dark brown accent makes the skin look bland from a distance. However, the skin has cool designs and stickers that give a modern vibe at a closer inspection. This skin was a part of the premium battle pass in Season 12.

Venom Blade

Venom Blade is a simple but flashy skin that gives Ash a futuristic look. The cyan and red color combination on the skin creates a nice and vibrant contrast. Venom Blade was a part of November’s claimable loot for Prime Gaming Subscribers.

Synthetic Huntress

Synthetic Huntress is by far the scariest-looking skin for Ash. The skin has a golden skeleton mask with glowing yellow eyes, which is enough to scare off any enemy in the vicinity. Synthetic Huntress was released in the Warriors Collection Event in Season 12.

Denizen of The Deep

Denizen of the Deep is a Crab inspired Ash skin that looks quite cool and creepy at the same time. The barnacles throughout her body make it obvious that she has been underwater for a long time. Denizen of the Deep was released in Dark Depth Event in 2022.

Eagle-Eyed

Eagle-Eyed is another Legendary default skin that has similar features to Mercenary Mystique. However, the specific color combination gives this skin kind of a Robin Hood aesthetic. The Eagle on her hood also implies that she can see everything on the map with her sharp eyes, just like the previous skin.

Apex Legends Ash abilities and cooldowns list at a glance

No character abilities are the same, and Ash’s aren’t the exception to the rule. Below you’ll find an overview of all Ash abilities and cooldowns at a glance:

Passive: Marked for Death
Tactical: Arc Snare
Ultimate: Phase Breach

Passive Marked for Death ability explained
Let’s start with Ash’s passive ability. Marked for Death allows for Ash’s map to signalise the location of recent deathboxes. This is already helpful, but in addition, you can ping a deathbox to mark surviving attackers (only one time per deathbox).

Tactical Arc Snare ability explained
Onto Ash’s tactical ability. Arc Snare involves Ash’s snipping snare, which causes damage and also tethers the first enemy that gets too close to it.

In simpler words? This is a throwable weapon that is also electrified. It’s rather quick to use, and as the description says, it doesn’t need to hit a target to cause damage.

Ash’s Arc Snare in action.
Its most impressive feature is, by far, its range. It can travel far and wide with no drop-off, which makes it perfect to target either a escaping enemy or a group of enemy players that are attacking your teammates before you can get close.

Ultimate Phase Breach explained
Ash’s ultimate ability, Phase Breach, joins the likes of Wraith and Revenant with a unique touch.

Phase Breach allows the legend to open a one-way portal to a targeted location. The description is important – you won’t be able to either return to it or use it a second time. But the fact that it can be used on a targeted spot can lead to a huge advantage, and of course, an array of new options to strategise around.

Is Ash Pathfinder’s girlfriend?

The simulacrum played a role in the season five quest, The Broken Ghost, but it seems that her stint in the Apex universe is far from done. In the comic, Mirage and Rampart visit Pathfinder to meet his so-called girlfriend.
