The Best Weapons Loadouts in Apex Legends Season 12

The Best Loadout Weapons in Apex Legends Season 12: How To Make Your Own Loadout Weapon?

Looking for the best loadout weapons in Apex Legends? Season 12 of Apex Legends has shaken up the weapon meta quite a bit thanks to numerous balance changes and the addition of a new super-powered weapon, the Rampage. So it’s high time you take a look through our best loadouts below once again, and figure out which weapon combinations are teh strongest in the current meta.

Weapon Loadouts in Apex Legends Season 12

Every new season of Apex Legends brings new changes to the game’s weapons. As usual, some guns are going into the care package, but this time around some guns are even leaving the ground loot pool altogether.

On top of all that, Respawn (the game’s developers) has made a couple of tweaks to weapon damage, nerfing a couple of guns while buffing those heading into the care package. Considering that — 12 seasons in — Apex Legends is home to an insane number of guns, new players might not be sure where to start. Here are the best weapons to use in Apex’s twelfth season Defiance.

BEST Loadout Weapons Season 12 (Apex Legends)

I tested YOUR BEST Weapons Loadouts in Apex Legends Season 12, including the r301, Alternator and r99, as well as many other OP weapons, on my way to find out the strongest and best guns to use in apex legends!

Hemlock

It’s hard to go wrong with most assault rifles in Apex Legends weapons, and the Hemlock is no exception. While it’s a bit bulky while aiming down sights (ADSing), the Hemlock hits hard with its 3-round bursts. The burst — which hits for a maximum of 60 damage on body shots and 96 on headshots — is absolutely savage at close ranges.

When enemies are a bit further away, switching the Hemlock to single-fire mode proves extremely effective. It’s an accurate rifle when equipped with a powerful scope.

Rampage LMG

After many complaints about it being OP, the Rampage LMG got a damage nerf halfway through Season 11. Despite this, it’s still in top form. A quick look at its damage profile reveals a nerf in name only. While Respawn reduced the LMG’s base damage from 28 to 26, it still takes exactly the same number of body shots to down an opponent — even with red armor. What this means is, in a 1v1, nothing has changed: the Rampage still shreds.

Flatline and Peacekeeper

The VK-47 Flatline, also called Flatline, has been around since the release of Apex Legends Weapons and is still one of the best assault rifles. It gives you mid-range superiority while not requiring as many attachments as the other assault rifles. However, it also kills players in close proximity, making it one of the most versatile guns in the ring.

Respawn has reduced its damage from 19 to 18 per bullet. With the new ground loot changes, it does not spawn on the ground anymore. Flatlines can now only be accessed via crafting stations in Defiance. Despite all these changes, Flatline would still be a viable option to have as primary weapons in Season 12 of Apex Legends.

With the Flatline as the primary weapon, the Peacekeeper is a reliable secondary choice. With its high DPS (damage per second), it can hit enemies hard and inflict significant damage.

The slow fire rate and long reload times might get on your nerves, but a quick switch from Flatline to Peacekeeper can make enemies touch the ground in seconds.

R-99 and Triple Take

Despite its nerf, the Triple Take is still one of the best marksman rifles to use in Apex Legends. Respawn removed the projectile growth from bullets and reduced damage from 23 to 21 per bullet. However, Triple Take can still be used as a primary marksman rifle in the game.

With full attachments, the R-99 can evaporate enemies at close to mid-range. It utilizes light ammo that is easily available on the ground. The horizontal shot fire line and low bullet spread make the Triple Take a good hipfire option. So using it with R-99 gives this combo a huge boost and makes it a fun loadout to have.

EVA-8 And Flatline

This should be a solid loadout for any squad’s “tank”. It’s also especially user-friendly for newcomers, or anyone getting used to their aim. The Flatline can be stunningly easy to shoot from the hip, which is always handy for an ambush.

Its iron sights can be frustrating, but with simple scopes it can become a devastating mid-range weapon that handles well. Meanwhile, the EVA-8’s rate of fire is crucial. Dead isn’t inevitable if the first shot or two is missed. Further, acquiring the double-tap can make it plenty lethal enough for those who feel more confident with their aim.

R-301 And Mastiff

While similar to the previous entry, this loadout can be useful for more aggressive players that have a keen eye. The R-301 is famously accurate at longer distances, but also has a superb rate of fire that holds up in close-quarters combat. And although light ammo is generally weaker, it’s also very easy to come by.

The 301’s balance is extraordinarily useful. It doesn’t burn through its bullets too quickly, and it’s still frenetic enough up close. However, the Mastiff keeps the player from hoarding all the light ammo. And if one finds themselves muttering “clever girl”, a la Jurassic Park, the Mastiff aids in survival after using the 301 from afar.

How to make your own Apex Legends loadout weapons

Rules are made to be broken, but if you’re just starting out in Apex Legends weapons it’s probably best to abide by the below golden rules when forging your own weapon loadout:

  • At least one full-auto (or fast-firing) weapon. In general, full-auto weapons win out. There’s a reason for the dominance of SMGs (and, to a lesser extent, Assault Rifles) in Apex Legends weapons at the moment.
  • At least one close-range option. Apex Legends is a fast-paced, mobility-oriented game, and as such most fights tend to be close-quarters. You can do without a long-range weapon if you like, but you really can’t do without a close-range option. Shotguns and SMGs are your best choice here.
  • Preferably a combo that covers all ranges. Again, you can do without a sniper rifle if need be, but if you stick purely to close range or medium range Apex Legends weapons (if, for example, you pick two shotguns, or a Scout and a Flatline) then you may run into trouble against certain enemy teams with loadouts more suited to the encounter. Certain guns, such as the Wingman or the Triple Take, are effective at pretty much any range, so they’re a good option when it comes to this rule.
  • Beware of ammo requirements. Your inventory size is limited, and certain guns eat up ammo incredibly quickly. If you have one such weapon (an LMG or SMG), then it might be a good idea to make your other weapon a low-ammo-requirement gun such as a Wingman, a G7 Scout, a Sniper, or a Shotgun, to make space for the ammo you need for your other Apex Legends weapons.
What is the most op gun in Apex Legends?

To put it plainly, the Kraber is the best weapon in the game. This sniper rifle can only be found in supply drops – where it will likely remain for the entirety of its Apex Legends lifespan – but that doesn’t mean you should skip it. Despite its rarity, the damage the Kraber deals out is lethal.

Is the Bocek good?

Even with the nerfs, the Bocek Bow can remain deadly but will now require more skill to pull off. Similar to its peers in the Marksman rifle category, the weapon is now great when used at midrange to long ranges. However, it has a hard time dealing with weapons with better fire rate up close.

Is BloodHound a girl?

Is BloodHound male or female? Bloodhound is an LGBTQ character and does not have a specific gender. It is neither male nor female.

Was kraber ever ground loot?

(Apex Legends… ►The Peacekeeper (and the Kraber) can now be found on the ground loot table again in Apex Legend’s re-do of the Armed and Dangerous LTM!
