Hunt: Showdown Update Adds Brand-New Quest Summon System

Hunt: Showdown version 1.8.1 released on PC, and developer Crytek has added a brand-new Quest summon system. Every Monday, Quests will update in the game, and players will be able to choose from five different Quest categories, with “Simple” being the lowest category, and “Legendary” being the highest. Players can “summon” quests such as banishing a set number of bosses, or killing a certain amount of Hunters. Players earn more Stars for completing greater challenges, with a cap of 30 Stars each week, and a maximum reward of 25 Blood Bonds. In addition to Stars, players can also earn other rewards from Quests, including pistols and explosives.

Crytek is also offering players the opportunity to come up with Quests for the game. Players can share their ideas using the hashtag #SuggestAQuest on social media. The developers will choose some of the best, and allow fans a chance to vote for the best candidate. It’s a neat way for Hunt: Showdown’s community to show their passion for the game, and help shape its future. In a press release, senior producer Fatih Ozbayram talked up the new Quest summons, and their hopes about how the feature will evolve following feedback.

“The new quest system will give players more control over the in-game challenges they wish to take on and the chance to earn more rewards every day,” said Ozbayram. “Hunt is a community-driven game, and this exciting new system will expand and evolve as we progress, shaped by player feedback. We’re also delighted to offer fans the chance to see their idea for a quest implemented in the game. The Hunt community is full of creativity, and we can’t wait to see what ideas players come up with!”

Basic gameplay of Hunt: Showdown

Every Bounty Hunt mission follows the same basic course:

  • Track your target through a hostile sandbox environment.
  • Kill your target-the boss monster(s).
  • Banish its soul to hell and collect the resulting Bounty Tokens.
  • Get off the map before another Hunter incapacitates you and steals your prize.
  • Every match is unique, varying depending on factors such as difficulty, time of day, boss type, and Hunter level. Up to twelve players, solo in pairs or trios (also influenced by the chosen option in the lobby), compete for the prize.

In QuickPlay the rules have some changes to them:

  • Each player tries to collect four Rifts
  • The first player with four rifts becomes the Wellspring
  • As the wellspring the player absorbs its energy while the other players try to kill him
  • Once the energy reached 0 the hunter with the wellspring wins and can keep the Hunter

More so than most games, Hunt: Showdown relies on sound for your survival. There are all kinds of traps that make noise and can draw the attention of both other players, and creatures. Gun fire, running through water and even walking along wooden planks can also create noise.

It’s important while playing to be aware of this so that you don’t create too much sound, but also are actively listening for it. Hear gunshots in the distance? Slow your approach so you don’t run face first into someone’s rifle. Hear dogs barking or zombies groaning? Another player is likely nearby and disturbing the peace. It’s a key part of the game, so when you play, ensure that you can hear the game clearly, and are always mindful of what sounds you’re making.

Choosing a Loadout in Hunt: Showdown

-Make sure you have a working hunter. Your kit at the very least should consist of 2 weapons (1 big 1 small or 2 medium, (Including dual pistols) a melee to handle A.I. and a Medkit to heal your hunter.

– Don’t over specialize. If your primary weapon is a shotgun, you don’t need an axe. bring a kit that can fight at any range. Pistols are a great choice for any kit since Hunt: Showdown has no bullet drop (With the exception of arrows and thrown objects)

-Have a plan if things go bad. We all love taking dynamite but it may not be the best use of a consumable slot. Since you have 4 slots a good way to start is have 2 offensive (Dynamite, Frag Bombs, Poison Bombs, Bees, etc.) and 2 defensive/Support (Vitality shots, Concertina wire, Ammo Boxes, Buff Shots, etc.)

– Look at what your team is bringing. If 2 of your teammates have shotguns, consider a rifle to balance out your team’s combat range. Keep in mind that certain weapons like shotguns or scoped rifles likely indicate how your team intends to play (Getting close to your enemy or staying at a distance). If playing with friends or a team with active communication, you can even bring items to support them like ammo boxes or extra buff shots.

-Spend Wisely. A losing streak in hunt can really hurt the bank if you’re short on Hunt dollars. When building loadouts on a budget check to see if there are any items you can sell. Check to see if there are any daily challenge rewards to be claimed or if a free hunter has guns you like.

Hunt: Showdown XP Farming

The main goal of this guide is to provide you with an easy task by which you can easily farm experience points. Below you will find two methods by which you can farm XP easily and level up quickly. Just like all games, you will need to farm for some time for quick XP. Use the following methods as your main farming places and enemies.

The first method by which you can farm XP is by killing AI monsters in Hunt: Showdown. These do not include all monsters. It is true that killing all monsters will give you XP but we are talking about farming XP, which means most XP in the shortest possible time.

Therefore, the monsters on which you need to focus are the grunts and the armored ones. Grunts will give you 10 XP per kill while the armored will give you sixty XP per kill. Grunts are easy to kill and will only take one charged hit from any melee weapon. You can use brass knuckle-duster, machete or knives against them for quick kills.

Armored on the other hand can be killed quickly with three fully charged melee attacks in Hunt: Showdown. Use machete, hatchets or Cavalry swords against them for maximum damage. If you find a lantern, toss it at the armored ones to kill them with a single lantern. They are also very effective in defeating other monsters of the game as well.

The second best and quickest way to farm XP in Hunt: Showdown is by discovering clues and finding monster lairs. Each clue when found will give you a straight 100XP and if you manage to discover the monster layer, you get 200XP. If done all in a single game, you will earn 500XP in total. This is also one of the fastest ways of earning XP in Hunt: Showdown.

Is Hunt: Showdown good for solo?

Playing solo in Hunt Showdown can be really fun, especially if you know what you’re doing. To play solo in Bounty Hunt, just queue for a lobby without inviting other players. If you want, you can allow groups of up to three players. But remember, it will get harder to survive.

What is the point of Hunt: Showdown?

In the game, the player assumes the role of a bounty hunter who must kill a mythical monster in order to claim the bounty and survive long enough to reach an extraction point.

Is Hunt: Showdown a horror game?

A rough beast indeed, Hunt: Showdown, slouching toward the daylight after a couple of years in Early Access. A genre chimera, blurring survival horror with boss rush shooter and battle royale, not quite one thing, not quite another.

How many hours is Hunt: Showdown?

The estimated time to complete all 37 Hunt: Showdown achievements is 80-100 hours.
