Canary Staked TRX ETF Launches on Cboe: How the New Tron ETF Pays You to Invest

The Canary Staked TRX ETF ($TRXS) officially launches on Cboe. Learn how Tron’s first US ETF pays staking yield, drives institutional crypto adoption, and leverages stablecoin dominance.

Canary Staked TRX ETF Hits US Markets: TRXS Ticker Live

Canary Capital has officially launched the Canary Staked TRX ETF, trading under the ticker symbol $TRXS on the Cboe exchange starting today, September 9, 2026. The first staked exchange-traded fund tied to Tron is set to hit the market Wednesday, giving investors a new way to gain exposure to the blockchain’s TRX.

The Canary Staked TRX ETF will make its debut under the ticker symbol TRXS. Canary’s staked TRX ETF is expected to begin trading on Cboe’s BZX exchange under the TRXS ticker, offering U.S. brokerage investors a regulated route. The Trust’s investment objective is to seek to provide exposure to the price of Tron (“TRX”) held by the Trust, less the expenses of the Trust’s operations and other liabilities. This marks a major milestone as it expands the US crypto ETF market beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. Over the past year, Canary Capital has launched several crypto ETFs, including ones tracking HBAR, Litecoin and XRP.

How to Invest in Tron ETF: Staked Crypto ETF US Mechanics

Unlike standard spot ETFs, this fund not only provides traditional brokerage investors with direct price exposure to Tron’s native token (TRX) but also actively stakes the fund’s holdings. Canary’s prospectus says the ETF is designed to provide exposure to TRX while earning additional TRX through staking on the Tron network.

Under normal circumstances, the fund expects to stake at least 90% of its holdings. That allocation is central to the structure described in the filing: the fund is intended to combine TRX holdings with the network’s staking economics. The new ETF also includes the potential for more TRX through the network’s proof-of-stake process, so those staking rewards will be reflected in the fund’s net asset value. Up to 80% of the generated proof-of-stake rewards are passed back to shareholders, reflecting in the fund’s net asset value (NAV).

The prospectus frames the 90% figure as an expectation in normal conditions, rather than an unconditional commitment that every token held by the fund will always be staked. Investors assessing the fund will therefore need to consider the disclosed staking approach alongside the benchmark used to calculate its NAV. The Pricing Benchmark is calculated by CoinDesk, a financial data website integrating spot market prices from various digital asset trading platforms.

Justin Sun Tron ETF Vision and Institutional Adoption

In a statement, Tron Founder Justin Sun said the fund will give investors a new way to access the blockchain network. Tron founder Justin Sun emphasized that this launch highlights Tron’s growing recognition as critical infrastructure for the digital economy.

“The launch of the Canary Staked TRX ETF demonstrates the growing recognition of the TRON network as critical infrastructure for the global digital economy and provides institutional investors with a new way to access a network that is already powering real-world financial activity at scale,” Sun said in a statement.

Tron Stablecoin Dominance

The Tron blockchain is widely used for stablecoin transfers because of its cost and efficiency. Canary Capital CEO Steven McClurg noted that Tron’s massive dominance in global stablecoin payments and settlements makes it an ideal candidate for institutional adoption.

“As stablecoin adoption continues to grow globally, TRON has become a critical piece of the infrastructure powering digital asset payments and settlement,” McClurg said in the statement on Wednesday.

TRX Price Prediction: $32.1 Billion Market Cap Impact

At the time of the launch, TRX boasts a market capitalization of over $32 billion, making it the 8th largest cryptocurrency. TRX has a market capitalization of $32.1 billion and is the eighth-largest crypto, according to The Block’s price data.

TRX is pinned at $0.33 in a tight volatility squeeze, with a taker buy/sell ratio at 1.0 signaling a potential breakout toward $0.35 or a flush to $0.32. TRX remains pinned near $0.34, with smart money leaning short while the ceiling holds. A breakout or breakdown could follow, depending on volume and market sentiment. TRX price is compressing tightly with major moving averages stacked near $0.30, signaling an imminent breakout.
