Superman flies into Fortnite today, here’s how to unlock him

Superman is arguably one of the most powerful superheroes of all time, but that won’t help him survive on the Isle of the Storm.

Epic Games has just added Superman to Fortnite

, allowing players to suit up as the Man of Steel himself starting today. Supes is also getting several distinct looks that players can unlock by completing a series of quests.

The Superman skin is available for Chapter 2 Season 7 battle pass owners but won’t be unlocked instantly. Instead, players must prove their worth by completing several Superman Quests which, thankfully, seem fairly straightforward.

The main questline revolves around restoring Clark Kent’s memories and helping him return to his super self by doing the following:

  1. Complete 1 quest from Clark Kent, Armored Batman, or Beast Boy
  2. Unlocks the Call to Action Emoticon.
  3. Complete 3 quests from Clark Kent, Armored Batman, or Beast Boy
  4. Unlocks the Superman Shield Spray.
  5. Complete 5 quests from Clark Kent, Armored Batman, or Beast Boy
  6. Unlocks the Clark Kent Outfit.
  7. Glide through 3 rings as Clark Kent
  8. Unlocks the Daily Planet Back Bling.
  9. Use a phone booth as Clark Kent
  10. Clark Kent suits up as Superman.

Extra Superman cosmetics are also available.

Epic Quests will also be available for those who’d like even more challenges to complete for bonus rewards. These quests will grant extra Superman-themed cosmetic items such as the black Shadow skin variant, a Superman cape glider, the Daily Planet Back Bling, and more. There isn’t much information on the Epic Quests but they should be similar to what players have come to expect from Fortnite.

While Superman is known for defending Earth, he still is originally from Krypton, making him a perfect fit for this season’s Alien invasion theme. The addition of a Superman skin has been a long time coming as Epic Games has included several DC characters such as Deathstroke, Batman, and Harley Quinn.

Help Your Favorite DC Heroes to Complete the Superman Challenges in ‘Fortnite’

Some of DC’s biggest and best heroes have joined the battle in Fortnite and are asking for your help to complete some challenges.

Fortnite has had multiple collaborations with Marvel over the years, and now Beast Boy, Clark Kent, and Batman have all been added as NPCs in the battle royale title for a new set of challenges that will award you some cool DC-themed swag for your character.
To complete all of the Superman quests set forth in the game, completing the challenges presented by these heroes is just one task on the list. You’ll also need to don the Clark Kent skin for battle and use a phone both and glide through rings to achieve all of the XP and rewards. You will also have to do the Epic Quests available to complete the challenge.
Even though there are three different heroes to choose from to help, to complete enough quests to advance in the challenge, you’ll need to assist all three of them.

Here’s everything you’ll need to know to complete a good portion of the Superman quests.

Where is Beast Boy in ‘Fortnite’?

To find Beast Boy for his challenges, you’ll be able to locate his NPC in the western part of the Weeping Woods. You’ll locate this shape-shifting superhero on one of the bridges. Interact with him to get his tasks, and complete them to advance further in the Superman challenges.

Just like any of the other NPCs in the game, all you have to do is walk up and interact with him. Select the exclamation point to start the quest.

Where is Clark Kent in ‘Fortnite’?

Superman likes to take to the skies, so it only makes sense that you’ll find Clark on top of a rooftop. To locate this hero, head over to the Steel Farm, which is to the east of Pleasant Park. Climb to the roof and interact with him (selecting the exclamation point) to get the quests you need to advance the challenge.

Where is Batman in ‘Fortnite’?

Finally, you’ll want to seek Armored Batman to get your final quests to complete the first portion of the Superman Challenges. Batman is located on the Dirty Docks, next to one of the alien spaceships. Interact with him to obtain his quest to advance.

Why can’t I find Batman, Superman, or Beast Boy?

Unfortunately, there appear to have been a few bugs in the game that sometimes makes it so players can’t find the heroes to complete the challenges. While Epic Games confirmed at noon on Aug. 10, 2021, that it had fixed the issue, some players are still reporting issues. If this happens, there is a way to work around it for the time being so you can make some progress on your Superman Challenges.

If you’re finding that your game isn’t displaying Batman, Superman, or Beast Boy in any of their spawn locations, then the first step is making sure your game is up to date.

If they still aren’t displaying, then you can access the challenges through the phone booths placed around the map. Call in and choose a quest from one of the three heroes to help you advance through the Superman Challenges.

to unlock the Superman cape and corresponding outfit in Fortnite, you will need to interact with a phone booth while dressed as the superhero’s alter ego, Clark Kent.

‘Fortnite’ Walkthrough: How to Unlock the Clark Kent Skin

Newsweek has already published a guide on how to earn the Clark Kent skin itself in Fortnite, but here is a quick summary of the necessary steps. Please note, you will need to have paid for the latest battle pass for any of this to be applicable.
First, you must track down either Beast Boy, Batman or the Man of Steel himself as they roam about the island. They can be found in Weeping Woods, Dirty Docks and the orchard (near Craggy Cliffs) respectively.

When you find these NPCs, you must speak to them and accept one of three quests that they are offering. The objectives that the comic book characters assign range from things like “kill an alien” to “pilot a UFO” or “use a launchpad.” In short, they are simple tasks that you will just naturally accomplish while you are playing multiplayer matches.

When you have completed just one mission for the heroes, you will receive the “Call to Action” emoticon. Then, after finishing three quests, you will get the shield spray and, upon doing five of them, you will finally unlock the Clark Kent skin.
