Rogue Legacy 2 Review: What is the max level? How to Find the Pizza Girl?

Rogue Legacy 2 is a platform video game developed and published by Cellar Door Games. It is the sequel to 2013’s Rogue Legacy, and the game was released for Windows via early access in August 2020. The full version of the game has been released on April 28, 2022 for Windows, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and Series S.

What is the Rogue Legacy 2 max level?

This is, honestly quite a hard question to answer. As far building up your tower and slowly upgrading your stats, you can level up hundreds of times. That being said, this is information available to you from the very start. You will never hit a level cap with your tower that you won’t see coming.

If you want to level this up quick in Rogue Legacy 2, invest in the small bank that takes a portion of the charon’s fee and puts it towards your base gold. As well as this, try and pick classes that come with gold bonuses and really rinse each floor you find. It can be a little bit of a slow start but, as you start unlocking classes and getting better bonuses, you will start to level up much quicker.

After you have a base of characters and bonuses to work off, start upgrading your damage and health. This will keep you alive for longer, thus ensuring larger amounts of money. The charon system in Rogue Legacy 2 is designed to stop you hoarding too much to really balance what you earn. Don’t worry too much about spending your gold, you will get it back easily.

What is the Rogue Legacy 2 class max level?
One of the harder to track levelling systems is found in the classes. Each class can level up to level 15 naturally. Then, you can push that all the way up to level 40 through the soul shop. After you beat the first boss, you can unlock the soul shop and spend your soul stones on “Limitless Potential” unlocking a few new levels. Class level mastery is something you want to work on early to get some nice extra stat buffs early on.

How to Find the Pizza Girl in Rogue Legacy 2

A pizza deliver girl is a special NPC in Rogue Legacy 2 that is one of the most important for making progress later on in the game. Rogue Legacy 2, like the first game, is broken up into different biomes that have a rough order to them in terms of how you should progress. However, being a roguelike, by default you will always have to start from the first biome and work your way through to the later ones. Unless you pay a fee to prevent the world from resetting between runs, in which case your map will still be unlocked from the previous runs and you can teleport to wherever you’d been prior, the only way to keep these teleporters open to future biomes is by finding Maria, aka Pizza Girl.

She will always appear in the Axis Mundi biome, so make sure to talk to her when you manage to reach this area. It is a straight shot of a zone, and she will be behind a door in the upper right. Once you speak to her there, she will appear on the dock between runs. Just like everything else in Rogue Legacy 2, however, unlocking new teleporters isn’t free. Unlocking Axis Mundi’s teleporter, for example, costs 1,500 gold, with all later ones increasing in price. Spending to unlock them all is well worth it, though. Being able to skip one, two, or more zones to finally get to that one area you’re working on, without wasting any time or damage to get there, is priceless.

Dynasty warriors in Rogue Legacy 2

Members of this heroic family tree can come with all manner of personality traits. Players of the original will remember these for adding quirks, both good and bad, to your character. Some serve as no more than an amusing distraction, like the methemoglobinemia trait, which sees your hero’s skin turned a handsome shade of blue. Others, such as the pacific can render the game unplayable.

We opted for a Knight with vertigo, fully expecting them to get a bit dizzy when faced with a high ledge, only to find the trait, in fact, turns the entire game upside down. Needless to say, it was a short run. This playful gimmick adds a layer of difficulty (or ease) that makes each attempt to conquer the castle feel different. Even when your quest is being hampered by the worst of them, they still add a dash of humour to the grind.

Each level in Rogue Legacy 2 has its own striking visual style. Things start off in a traditional castle setting, while later levels see you explore beautiful snow-covered surroundings and an enchanting study filled with magical platforms. Threatening you along your journey is a relentless horde of enemies. These come in as many shapes and sizes as you do. Some fill the screen with deadly projectiles, while others want nothing more than to whack you on the head with a powerful melee strike.

Enemies aren’t your only worry; levels in Rogue Legacy 2 are a platforming labyrinth filled with hazardous obstacles like spiked pits and flaming traps that require careful timing and patience to overcome. Later levels introduce original threats such as Nightmare, an orb that fires a fast projectile at you if you try to attack anywhere within its expansive aura. It’s fast-paced and incredibly fun, and we couldn’t wait to jump back in for another go.

Rogue Legacy 2 Gameplay

Rogue Legacy 2 is a platform game with roguelike and Metroidvania elements. In the game, the player assumes control of a knight, who must explore procedurally generated dungeons to collect its treasures and defeat enemies. While the knight is equipped with swords and shields and mages can cast magic, the game introduces several additional gameplay classes. These new classes include the Ranger who can summon platforms and use fire arrows, and the Barbarian who uses an axe. As a roguelike, players will have to start from the beginning when their player avatar is killed in the game.

However, the gold they have collected in each run can be spent on permanent upgrades such as new weapons, gear and runes. When the player starts a run again in Rogue Legacy 2, they will have to pick a random character with different genetic traits, which may either enhance or hinder the player’s combat efficiency. While exploring a dungeon, they will also collect Heirlooms, which are permanent ability upgrades that are hidden in special rooms.
