Cookie Clicker a real game

Is Cookie Clicker a real game? How to play the game?

I Spent Hours Mining Cookies And Regret Nothing in Cookie Clicker

One click earns one cookie, and that’s how it begins. Then we start buying upgrades like farms and grandmas and they add automatic earning. The more we earn, the more we can upgrade and the more we can earn again. Many clicks later and I manage to be earning almost 1,000,000 cookies per second and things can only get better from here.

Cookie Clicker is one of the most addicting games out there. Here’s how players can produce a ridiculous amount of sweet treats.

Is Cookie Clicker a real game?

With Cookie Clicker’s arrival on Steam in Fall 2021 comes a resurgence in the popularity of the classic browser-based idle game. The Steam version of the game comes with some additions that justify the small $5 price tag, and there’s plenty of reasons to go back to the game that started the clicker genre craze.

It’s one of the most addicting games ever made thanks to its simple but effective gameplay loop – but the best players don’t treat it like an idle game. Instead, they treat it like a strategy game on par with the most respected resource-based games out there. It’s a game with surprising depth, and there’s a lot more to it than just clicking cookies.

Created by using JavaScript, Cookie Clicker is an online, browser-based game where the objective is to collect cookies available traditionally on PC but now also for PS4.

It was released by Orteil and Opti in 2013 as a bit of fun, but it quickly took off and became an internet phenomenon. Since its release, the game has experienced many changes—with a major reworking brought about after v2.

To get cookies, you click on them (hence the name). With the cookies that you have collected, you can purchase items to help you gather cookies faster.

What is Ascension in Cookie Clicker?

Ascension is similar to a new game plus in other games. You reset your progress in the current run, but you get bonuses for completing certain milestones. Cookies created (from clicking or otherwise) are the milestones in this case.

When you decide to ascend you get a couple of things. Heavenly chips and a CPS boost based on how many prestige levels you have.

How Many Cookies for Each Ascension?

To unlock the first ascension or prestige level in the game, you have to bake 1 trillion cookies. This isn’t an easy feat. Depending on how active you are, this could take days or weeks, and that’s just for your first prestige level.

You’re probably going to get impatient and want to Ascend quickly. I recommend you read the next part of the Ascension guide first.

When Should I Ascend in Cookie Clicker?

The general rule of thumb for Ascending in Cookie Clicker, especially the first time, is at least 200 prestige levels. There are different tribes of Cookie Clicker players that say different numbers, with some even saying you should wait until you are into the several thousand, but if you’d like to Ascend early, 200 is one of the best times to do so.

That being said, a very famous cookie clicker guide says to Ascend first at 400 levels. This gives you enough Heavenly Chips to get a bunch of extremely useful upgrades that will come in handy for future Ascensions.

We personally Ascended pre-200 and within a day was smashing through Ascension levels, so I don’t think it is that important to stick to waiting until 1000. Others agree as well.

Still, you need to have some Heavenly Chips to snag some amazing Ascension upgrades. The next section of the Cookie Clicker Ascension guide will go over that.

Best Cookie Clicker Strategy
The best Cookie Clicker strategies revolve around building selection, upgrades, and ascension.

Upgrade Early and Often
Upgrades don’t look quite as exciting as purchasing new cookie-producing facilities — but they give you a lot of bang for your buck. Upgrades are located above the building purchase area and increase cookie production and building efficiency.

Upgrade in cookie clicker
Even if it means waiting to buy a new grandma or a portal, purchase the upgrades. Even if it seems like a small impact at first, they add up over time. Many of them apply to every building in a particular category or every building you own, which helps increase production even more quickly.

Choose Your Upgrades Wisely
Focusing on upgrades doesn’t mean you should purchase every upgrade as soon as you can. If you’re someone who likes to sit on the window and click, buy the upgrades that improve clicking. If not, purchase the upgrades that increase non-click production.

Don’t Skimp on Starter Units
Grandmas and cursors don’t seem as exciting when you can unlock shipments or alchemy labs but don’t make the mistake of skipping over them. Upgrades throughout the game increase the efficiency of the grandmas and cursors. They can also have a significant impact on how quickly other buildings produce cookies.

Not All Buildings are Equal
You don’t want the same number of each building in Cookie Clicker. While you want many of the first two units — grandmas and cursors — you don’t need to make out the rest. Purchase 200 of each and then focus on buildings that give you a higher rate of return on total cookie production.

Cookie Clicker Classic

Community
The current community surrounding Cookie Clicker Classic is small, as most people prefer the updated versions of the game. The original community for cookie clicker was started on the /v/ board of 4chan.org, and later, around tumblr.com. Cheating in cookie clicker classic has been around since the beginning of the community, although not nearly as robust as it is today.

Strategy
It is important to note that the strategy is different. Choose your own strategy and see how it works.

Early Game
The early game actually requires users to click. Auto clicks are a waste of cash. Make a small pool of grandmas and factories. When the factory prices inflate to over half of the price of a mine, alternate between factories and mines. Don’t buy more than 10 factories in Cookie Clicker.

Mid Game
When you can afford it, start building Shipments in Cookie Clicker. Shipments are a great source of income until they cost over 1/5 of an Alchemy lab, at this point, save for an Alchemy lab. Continue building alchemy until you can afford the Portal.

Will Cookie Clicker ever end?

Can You Ever Really Beat Cookie Clicker? Despite there being no true ending to Cookie Clicker, many people consider beating the game as unlocking all upgrades and achievements. Over the years, DLC has added to this list, which means beating Cooke Clicker can take 100 hours or more.

What is the Cookie Clicker Hack name?

Open Sesame is the control panel for Cookie Clicker. It can be opened with a console command, or by changing the name of your bakery. Opening this panel will secretly award the player the “Cheated cookies taste awful” Shadow Achievement for cheating in cookies, even if the panel’s functions are not actually ever used.

Is Cookie Clicker free to play?

Cookie Clicker was first released in 2013 as a free browser game . The premise is simple enough: click on the cookie to earn a cookie. The more clicks, the more cookies. With more cookies, more upgrades are available to make gathering cookies even easier.
