Purple has become her second skin during the production and promotion of her highly anticipated series \u201cHawkeye<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n Steinfeld kept seeing the color splashed across the \u201cthousands\u201d of pages she read of the Hawkeye comics<\/strong>, which she enjoyed so much she keeps them on display at her home.<\/p>\n Both her character, Kate Bishop<\/strong>, and Clint Barton<\/strong>, played by Jeremy Renner<\/strong>, have purple suits \u2014 and it was obvious her chats with the wardrobe department on \u201cHawkeye\u201d would have a singular focus.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s so funny because, I of course obviously knew about the purple walking into this \u2026 but I guess maybe I didn\u2019t. Because it has become my world,\u201d Steinfeld told The Washington Post. \u201cBut I\u2019m not mad about it. I do love the color purple.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n That\u2019s probably a good thing, because Steinfeld as Bishop just might be the next big thing in the Marvel<\/strong><\/a> Cinematic Universe. In \u201cHawkeye,\u201d which debuts Wednesday on Disney Plus<\/strong>, she stars as a master archer and a worshiper of Renner\u2019s Barton, who wields his own bow and arrow and would much rather spend the holidays vacationing with his family in New York<\/strong> than be avenging anything in his post-Thanos life.<\/p>\n This six-episode series is Steinfeld\u2019s MCU origin story, and although she plays the adulating sidekick, she will probably see her status rise \u2014 and could potentially even take on the Hawkeye title herself.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n For Steinfeld, the series was a chance to be a Hawkeye apprentice in front of the camera and behind it.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n\n
