The season 47 host and influencer<\/strong><\/a> also took shots at Caitlyn Jenner’s recent campaign for California governor and her own sex tape<\/strong> during the Oct. 9 show.<\/p>\n Kim Kardashian<\/strong><\/span><\/a> West kicked off her Saturday Night Live<\/strong><\/a> hosting gig with an opening monologue that addressed and largely roasted many of her and her family\u2019s past and present controversies.<\/p>\n That includes throwing comedic jabs about O.J. Simpson<\/strong> and offering a take on what ultimately drove her and her ex, Kanye West<\/strong>, to their divorce.<\/p>\n After discussing her awareness around her \u201cprivilege,\u201d Kardashian West<\/strong> noted that she has made \u201cgetting wrongly accused people out of jail\u201d a personal mission, before speaking about how her father Robert Kardashian<\/strong> has been an influence on social work.<\/p>\n \u201cM father was and still is such an influence<\/strong> and inspiration to me and I credit him with really opening up my eyes to racial injustice. It\u2019s because of him that I met my first black person,\u201d Kardashian<\/strong> West said to laughs before launching into a joke about O.J. Simpson<\/strong>. \u201cWant to take a stab in the dark at who it was?\u201d<\/p>\n The influencer<\/strong> and reality TV star went further, adding, \u201cI know it\u2019s sort of weird to remember the first black person you met but OJ does leave a mark \u2014 or several. Or not at all. I still don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n Later in her monologue, she addressed her divorce from Kanye, but started out by calling the rapper the best \u201cof all time\u201d before noting that he\u2019s \u201cthe richest black man in America\u201d and a \u201ctalented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I divorced him, you have to know it came down to just one thing: his personality,\u201d she said. \u201cI know that sounds mean but people keep telling me that comedy comes from truth.
