Duffy shares \u2018passing thoughts\u2019 as she returns to Instagram<\/h2>\n\n\n

Welsh songstress Duffy has returned to Instagram, to share her \u2018passing thoughts\u2019 with her fans.<\/h6>\n

She recently returned to the social media platform to share a short statement:<\/p>\n

\u201cSummer is almost setting and it felt a good time to say hi, maybe I\u2019m nostalgic for the changing of seasons.<\/p>\n

How are you all?<\/p>\n

I\u2019m doing good. Hope to see more of you in the future \u2013 if just to sit and talk, sing, discuss or however it turns out.\u201d<\/p>\n

And today, 3rd October, Duffy shared eight Instagram squares which each had a quote on, in her own words.<\/p>\n

Duffy shares \u2018passing thoughts\u2019 as she returns to Instagram<\/h2>\n

Singer Duffy<\/strong> has returned to Instagram<\/strong> with what she labels some \u2018passing thoughts\u2019, which touch on themes including acceptance, history and love.<\/p>\n

The Mercy chart-topper last posted on her otherwise-empty account on September 11, sharing a picture of herself looking into the distance, with the caption of a sunshine emoji.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old has been quiet in recent months, following the February 2020 revelation of her horrific rape ordeal, when she said that she had been \u2018raped, drugged and held captive\u2019 before spending several years trying to recover from the experience.<\/p>\n

Taking to Instagram to share a series of nine posts she\u2019d signed with her name, Duffy wrote on the first one, simply titled \u2018Hi\u2019: \u2018Sharing passing thoughts. I don\u2019t envisage this being a permanent thing, something to connect. Nervous. Doing it anyway. Duffy ?\u2019<\/p>\n

The following eight posts showed images of black writing on a white background, and covered the sun, acceptance, music, attraction, confused, history, love and heart.<\/p>\n

She then shared a matching black and white slide on her Stories, captioned \u2018Passing thoughts\u2026\u2019 to announce her posts to followers, as well as updating her bio to reflect the same message.<\/p>\n

Beginning with her slide called \u2018the sun\u2019, Duffy wrote: \u2018It\u2019s painful for a seed in the dark, before it meets the sun\u2019, before musing on the theme of \u2018acceptance\u2019 with: \u2018Sometimes, as hard as it is, we have to understand there are things we cannot accept and accept there are things we cannot understand.\u2019<\/p>\n

On \u2018music\u2019, she shared: \u2018Starves a hurting mind and feeds the heart.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018If you ever begin to take life too seriously, read history,\u2019 was another of her musings, while for \u2018heart\u2019 she put: \u2018Listen to your heart, it\u2019s where God speaks.\u2019<\/p>\n

The Warwick Avenue singer was welcomed back to social media by her fans, with many leaving heart emojis in the comments on her posts.<\/p>\n

One follower wrote: \u2018Take care, and stay strong\u2019, while another posted: \u2018\u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0fYes!! Sending you all the love Duffy \u2728?\u2019<\/p>\n

At the time of initially sharing her past trauma with the world via Instagram, having been approached by a journalist to give an interview, Duffy said that it was \u2018liberating\u2019 to talk about the ordeal after surviving and recovering.<\/p>\n

With what has now appeared to become a motif over the past 20 months, she added: \u2018I can tell you in the last decade, the thousands and thousands of days I committed to wanting to feel the sunshine in my heart again, the sun does now shine.\u2019<\/p>\n
