For many a millennial kid, Steve Burns<\/strong> of \u201cBlue\u2019s Clues<\/strong>\u201d was a steady presence in our lives. Until he wasn\u2019t.<\/p>\n Burns<\/strong> \u2013 or as everyone knows him, Steve<\/strong> \u2013 left the show abruptly in 2002, giving many \u201990s kids their first taste of being ghosted.<\/p>\n He told viewers he was leaving for college and his brother Joe would be taking over the job of hunting for clues, waiting for mail time, talking to Mr. Salt, et cetera. And, just like that, Steve was gone.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n \u201cCan we just talk about that?\u201d he says in a video posted by Nick Jr. to Twitter. \u201cBecause I realize that was kind of abrupt.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n blue clues steve burns<\/strong> calls his time in \u201ccollege\u201d \u2013 we\u2019re sticking with that cover story, it seems \u2013 \u201cchallenging\u201d but \u201cgreat.\u201d He acknowledges all that\u2019s changed in the past 20 or so years.<\/p>\n \u201cLook at you, and look at all you have done and all you have accomplished in all that time. It\u2019s just so amazing, right? I mean we started out with clues, and now it\u2019s what? Student loans, and jobs, and families.\u201d<\/p>\n But Steve wouldn\u2019t just leave us with thoughts of student loan debt and 9-to-5 jobs.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n \u201cI guess I just wanted to say that after all these years, I never forgot you \u2026 ever. And I\u2019m super glad we\u2019re still friends,\u201d he says, instantly melting our real world-hardened hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
