Gran Turismo Sport<\/strong> has some of the best colour and livery editing options around to personalise your cars<\/strong>. There are generally two ways to go about editing how your car<\/strong> looks in Gran Turismo Sport<\/strong>, and we’re going to run you through both in our handy guide!<\/p>\n

How to change car color in Gran Turismo Sport<\/h2>\n

Within this, you have the option to edit your suit and helmet liveries, but we’re wanting to change the car’s livery. Select “New Design” on the car livery menu and then the car<\/strong> you want to edit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the complexity of the livery editor, Polyphony have managed to design this feature to be easy on the eye even for first-time users. If you want to just change the base colour of the car<\/strong>, go to “Paint” and then select the colour you wish to use.<\/p>\n

There are literally hundreds of colours to choose from, so you’re not lacking in options here. If you’re wanting to really personalise your car further though, you can go into the livery editor’s other options.<\/p>\n

The racing items and decals submenus give you more to chew on when it comes to more changes. Everything from racing numbers and driver name to stickers of every design are available. The options really are limitless.<\/p>\n

You can even save and upload these designs for other racers around the world to use. Be sure to save your design once you’ve completed it and the game will give you the option to share it online as well as saving it to your “My Library”. What’s cool about it as well is that these edits are completely free, they won’t cost you a single credit.<\/p>\n

Painting car on your own in Gran Turismo Sport<\/h3>\n

Working in the car styling editor reminds using a graphics program, because your actions are performed on layers, which can be freely modified and combined. Every car can be painted by dividing it to several main elements, and put up to 300 different decals (stickers) on it. After launching, the bottom bar with the main options will appear.<\/p>\n

  • Preview – by rotating the camera, the user can see the work in progress.<\/li>\n
  • Select Background – changing the background color and lighting.<\/li>\n
  • Paint\/Color – this option allows you to paint the car with the color chosen from the pallet or with the special one – purchased in a mileage exchange.<\/li>\n
  • Decals – here you put all stickers and graphical patterns divided into specific areas of the car body.<\/li>\n
  • Wheels – here you can change the rims for those that you have purchased in a mileage exchange and tires for a real and specified manufacturer (changing tires is not always possible).<\/li>\n
  • Driver’s Racing Equipment – behind this name there is an option to add a number on the car (it is always in fixed positions and cannot be moved), player nicknames, Gran Turismo<\/strong> sign on the windshield and changes of headlights to yellow.<\/li>\n

  • Save – save and share your painting pattern.<\/li>\n

    Doing It On Your Own via GT Auto<\/h4>\n

    One of the ways you can change the color of your is by visiting GT Auto<\/strong> and going to the Customize Cars<\/strong> floor of the pavilion. From there you will have quite a number of options on how you can customize your car<\/strong>, but for this guide in general, we will be focusing on three of these options, namely the Paint Color, Other Parts, and Livery Editor tabs.<\/p>\n
