With the release of Dota 2\u2019s Primal Beast update<\/strong>, the MOBA saw a significant shakeup. There were new items, buffs and nerfs to heroes, and, of course, the introduction of new stompy strength boy Primal Beast<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Dota 2 Primal Beast – Best item build<\/h2>\n

High-ranking Dota 2<\/strong> players will know that their item builds will almost depend on unique game circumstances. This includes reacting to the draft of heroes and game pace to the itemization of enemy players.<\/p>\n

However, if you’re looking for a base item build, we’ve got you covered. Notably, it is still early in the meta, so many players are still figuring out the best item build for Primal Beast<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Ana’s item build for Primal Beast<\/strong> at the start of Dota 2 patch<\/strong> 7.31.
The following item build was used by Ana in a ranked match played on 24th February. Match ID: 6447057222.<\/p>\n

In the pre-game phase, start off by purchasing a set of Tango, an Iron Branch and 2 Gauntlets of Strength. During the landing phase, you will build this into two Bracers. Keep the Bracers into the mid-game to benefit from the double attribute bonuses after minute 25.<\/p>\n

Next, build a Soul Ring<\/strong> to ensure you have sufficient Mana to cast your spells. This is critical for most Strength heroes with a low Mana Pool and Intelligence gain. Next, you can build a Magic Wand and purchase Boots of Speed.<\/p>\n

By minute 20, Ana had upgraded his Boots to Phase Boots and bought a Blink Dagger<\/strong>. As an Initiator hero, this item is critical. Next, pick up a Black King Bar<\/strong> to protect yourself from counter-initiations. By minute 34, Ana had won the game.<\/p>\n

Other late game items that you can purchase include Heart of Tarrasque, Assault Cuirass, Overwhelming Blink, Shiva’s Guard, Radiance, Wraith Pact, and Lotus Orb.<\/p>\n

Primal Beast Abilities<\/h3>\n

After much anticipation, Dota 2\u2019s 7.31 patch<\/strong> has gone live, with a new hero called Primal Beast<\/strong>. In addition to the previously-announced Techies Demolitions rework, the patch notes include a host of more general balance changes, including a big update to the jungle introducing several new creeps to battle.<\/p>\n

Primal Beast<\/strong> is a strength hero rated for disabler, durable, and initiator roles. His first ability is Onslaught, a charge which knocks back anyone \u2013 enemy or ally \u2013 in range, and will damage and stun enemies caught in the effect. Charging the charge will let Primal Beast<\/strong> charge further. Trample creates an AoE damage effect around Primal Beast<\/strong>, which will damage all enemies for 140 units traveled.<\/p>\n

Uproar is a passive buff to base bonus damage, and Primal Beast gains additional stacks of the ability each time an enemy hero deals 35 damage or more. You can activate those stacks for a roar that\u2019ll slow nearby enemies and grant bonus attack damage and armour. Pulverize will grab an enemy target, slamming them back to the ground for AoE damage.<\/p>\n

Finally, Rock Throw<\/strong> will (you guessed it) throw a rock at a target location, stunning and damaging enemies caught in range of the impact. You can see all those abilities in action on the official site.<\/p>\n
