As a Guilty Gear title, fans can expect no less but fast-paced combat intertwined with technical combat mechanics. Strive will see Sol Badguy confront That Man, the person who turned him into a Gear, and settle his fate once and for all.<\/p>\n<p>And thankfully, Sol isn&#8217;t alone in his journey. Alongside Sol Badguy are 14 other playable characters &#8211; two newcomers and the rest a part of Guilty Gear&#8217;s rather diverse roster of crazily powerful characters. It\u2019s a completely batshit and creative design for such a delightfully unsavory character. Like, Bedman is a guy who casually kills a girl\u2019s dog just to help her understand that living beings are all distinct and have differences, and that\u2019s what makes it all beautiful. The kid is messed up.<\/p>\n<h5>SLAYER<\/h5>\n<p>In a futuristic world of magic terminators, shadow beasts, and metal witches fighting to decide the future of humanity itself, there stands a man who simply shrugs in the background because a lot of this excitement is simply beneath him. That <strong>Slayer\u2019s defeat<\/strong> does nothing more than show him casually laying on the floor, mildly amused, speaks volumes for how little a shit this vampire badass gives.<\/p>\n<h5>SOL BADGUY<\/h5>\n<p>They named a <strong>character<\/strong> Sol Badguy, and we\u2019re supposed to just accept that. That\u2019s the stupidest name. The guy holds his future sword the same way Freddie Mercury held his mic. That\u2019s supreme.<\/p>\n<p>Not only is Sol one of the best <strong>Guilty Gear characters<\/strong>, but he\u2019s one of the best main heroes in a fighting game. He stands in the high tier with Terry Bogard, getting by via punching people so hard that explosions happen.<\/p>\n<h5>FAUST\/DR. BALDHEAD<\/h5>\n<p>Baldhead was off-putting but definitely memorable. He didn\u2019t truly hit his stride until he became Faust, adding inexplicable cartoon physics to his febrile behavior. He\u2019s the Deadpool of the series in that he\u2019s the perfect mix of nonsense action and emotional backstory. Despite all the blood on his hands, he pulls off so much whimsy that his reality-breaking actions can easily make you smile.<\/p>\n<h5>JUSTICE<\/h5>\n<p>Despite being killed off in the first game, Justice is the constant source of dread in <strong>Guilty Gear\u2019s story<\/strong>. Many of the games have revolved around the threat of Justice\u2019s return, whether it\u2019s getting her daughter to follow in her footsteps, cloning, or even resurrection. And yes, Justice is bad news because when she was active, she led a war against mankind that lasted 101 years. She only lost because she was sealed away.<\/p>\n<h5>DIZZY<\/h5>\n<p>Dizzy makes me think of when someone is writing a Justice League story and has to come up with a reason for Superman to not be around, like he\u2019s busy in space or off in another dimension. <strong>Dizzy<\/strong> isn\u2019t the protagonist of <strong>Guilty Gear<\/strong>, but she is the daughter of two of the most powerful <strong>characters<\/strong>, and is mainly held back by plot contrivance and her attempts at pacifism.<\/p>\n<h5>AD<\/h5>\n<p>Her so-called \u201cInstant Kill\u201d in <strong>Guilty Gear Xrd<\/strong> paints the best picture. Dizzy reluctantly fires a projectile that misses its mark, but leaves a horrifying mushroom cloud in the distance. Her freaked out opponents can only survey the damage, slowly turn to her, and surrender. Again, that\u2019s what she\u2019s capable of when holding back.<\/p>\n<h5>ASUKA R. KREUZ\/THAT MAN<\/h5>\n<p>He\u2019s alluded to in Sol Badguy\u2019s ending in the first <strong>Guilty Gear game<\/strong>, making you imagine he\u2019ll be the final boss of the next game or maybe the one after that. Instead, he makes mysterious appearances in the <strong>Guilty Gear X games<\/strong>. We never get a good look at him, but we see that he\u2019s capable of easily slapping aside anyone who gets in his way. Then he pops up in <strong>Guilty Gear 2<\/strong>, including in a boss battle where Dragon Install Sol Badguy can\u2019t even dent him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h5>The Valentine Units: Valentine, Ephelt, Ramlethal, And Jack-O<\/h5>\n<p>The <strong>Valentines<\/strong> are probably the most unique inlcusion out of everyone, considering they seem to be &#8220;vessels&#8221; of organic origin created by the Universal Will. Now, the Valentines all have different abilities, personalities, and goals, but the one thing they do have in common is that they\u2019re unique lifeforms birthed in \u201cThe Backyard\u201d who use the genetic code of Aria Hale as a base.<\/p>\n<h5>DIZZY<\/h5>\n<p>Coming up now is one of if not the most deceptively powerful characters in the entire franchise, <strong>Dizzy<\/strong>, the \u201cChild of Light and Dark\u201d. The first thing you need to know about Dizzy is that she\u2019s a half-Gear half-human hybrid. Secondly, looking at her you\u2019ll probably immediately notice the two specter-like characters close to her, these are actually her \u201cwings\u201d or \u201cguardians\u201d and they go by Necro and Undine.<\/p>\n<h5>Asuka R. Kreutz<\/h5>\n<p>Finally, we get to talk about \u201cThat Man\u201d. The long-running \u201cantagonist\u201d of <strong>Guilty Gear<\/strong>, \u201cThat Man\u201d goes by many different names such as \u201cThe Devil\u201d or \u201cGearmaker\u201d, but we finally know him now as Asuka R. Kreutz. Asuka was one of the three lead <strong>characters<\/strong> on the original Gear Cells project back before the Crusades, along with Frederick and Aria Hale. But, he also has an even more mysterious past as the fifth disciple of &#8220;The Original&#8221;, the man who first found the Backyard and introduced humanity to magic.<\/p>\n<h5>Ariels And Happy Chaos<\/h5>\n<p>If we\u2019re taking the power levels of I-No and Axl Low from the end of GG Strive into consideration, they might be as strong as both Ariels and Happy Chaos, but &#8220;on average\u201d these two are scarier <strong>characters in Guilty Gear<\/strong> thanks to their intellect and Backyard-based background.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"schema-faq wp-block-yoast-faq-block\"><div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1651860161818\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">Is Guilty Gear for beginners?<\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">Luckily, the most recent entry in the series, Guilty Gear Strive is easily the most accessible and newcomer-friendly entry in the series&#8217; history, whilst not sacrificing the series&#8217; core fighting game depth.<\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1651860345582\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">Is Guilty Gear a anime?<\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">Anime based on video games may not have the most consistent track record, but if there&#8217;s one game series that could benefit from it, it&#8217;s Guilty Gear.<\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1651860370094\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">Is Guilty Gear worth getting?<\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">Guilty Gear Strive is an excellent fighting game that manages to bridge the gap between depth and accessibility in a way that doesn&#8217;t ruin the series&#8217; core tenets\u2014no small feat. Strive&#8217;s stronger neutral focus, slightly slower pacing, rich characters, and mechanically robust combat are second to none.<\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1651860392809\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">Is Guilty Gear Strive a good game?<\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">Indeed, Guilty Gear Strive is a ridiculously good looking game.
