And as FromSoftware fans know, this is a sign of an absolute mad lad. The confidence is unparalleled and they come with a purpose \u2013 to flex their skills and also, to help out, you know?<\/p>\n

Once this player appears in your world, you will see how Malenia<\/strong> is beaten with ease. Dodging attacks and landing a strike at the right moment does the trick but it surely isn\u2019t as easy as it looks \u2013 here it is in action and here\u2019s the Reddit post by the player.<\/p>\n

For those that manage to call upon the real one, though, they will likely be carried through a battle that they have spent hours struggling with. Elden Ring: Is it just another Dark Souls?<\/h4>\n

The Dark Souls<\/strong> series made FromSoftware a legitimate contender with 27 million unit sales across three games as of 2020. Elden Ring<\/strong>, on the other hand, removes any doubt of the company\u2019s place among the pantheon of developers, making it a bona fide AAA outfit.<\/p>\n

After all, this wasn\u2019t the same case as Demon\u2019s Souls<\/strong> where a name change was needed with the switch from previous partner Sony to Bandai Namco. The latter continues to be FromSoftware\u2019s partner for Elden Ring<\/strong>, causing some to think it had to be a significantly different IP or they would have just used the Dark Souls<\/strong> moniker.<\/p>\n

The involvement of George RR Martin of Game of Thrones fame also fueled speculation that Elden Ring<\/strong> might be more story-driven compared to Souls games, which deeply buried their stories\u2019 lore within the game\u2019s dialogue and item descriptions instead of using the more narrative-heavy takes used by Final Fantasy or Sony Interactive Entertainment\u2019s high-profile titles such as God of War or the Horizon series.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t take long, however, to realize the strong similarities between Elden Ring and the Souls series. The paint and chassis might look different. But the engine that powers it is unmistakably the same albeit with some tweaks. Just because you can go somewhere doesn\u2019t mean you should as it becomes obvious pretty quickly when you\u2019re underleveled and undergeared for an area. So in a sense, the game puts invisible gates to your progression.<\/p>\n

That being said, the freedom to explore is one of the neat aspects of \u201cLet Me Solo Her\u201d in Elden Ring<\/strong>, especially given how much more diverse and alive its world feels compared to Dark Souls<\/strong>. This is true both from a world design aspect as well as a technical aspect as the game looks quite beautiful. As stressful as the game can get sometimes, there\u2019s just something oddly calming about traversing through Elden Ring\u2019s<\/strong> world and stumbling upon all sorts of unexpected surprises.<\/p>\n\n\n
