Sam Smith and Kim Petras have just made music history and become the first openly trans artists to go Number 1 in the US.<\/p>\n

It was a huge achievement for both artists \u2013 Unholy marks the first number one single in the US and the UK by a trans woman and a non binary artist in history (Unholy just celebrated its fourth week at number one in Britain). We\u2019ve all known Sam Smith for years, but if you haven\u2019t got your ear to the ground in the pop scene Kim Petras might have passed you by.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve opened TikTok in the last two months, you will almost definitely have heard the bold and raunchy chorus of Unholy, the smash hit from Sam Smith and Kim Petras.
