Lewis Hamilton will win the F1 title on Sunday. That Mercedes is something superior

Deon Joubert says: Lewis Hamilton will win the F1 title on Sunday. That Mercedes is something superior.

But in the same breath, I love Max Verstappen‘s fight, and he knows this title fight is a gamble like no other. The other thing about Lewis is that there’s very little evil in him; he is genuinely a good guy. Max? Not so much.

The thing about Formula 1 is that each generation brings a special driver. And honestly, I think Lando Norris and Geroge Russell have a whole lot of potential to be the next champions.

Yes, Hamilton is in a brilliant car, but it’s important to remember that he has created the situation he finds himself in on his own, and that’s what truly makes him the greatest of all time, or at least of this modern era.

Sarel van der Merwe says: Lewis Hamilton must be favoured, but you can also never discount Max.

Hamilton will win this one, but I would prefer Verstappen took it – he needs it, and so does the sport.

Giniel de Villiers says: I want Max to win the title today, just for a bit of a change in the sport.

Both Max and Lewis are doing a fantastic job; they are both streets ahead of everyone else.

However, I am not discounting Hamilton, and whether you love him or hate him, he is an incredible driver, and you have to admire him for his achievements.

Phillip Kekana says: This is a very difficult race to call. I want Lewis to win it because then he can retire with an eighth championship title. I see there are loads of people in Formula One who don’t want him to surpass Michael Schumacher’s record. So that’s why I really want him to grab the title today.

Willie Hepburn says: “I think Hamilton is going to take it. I am not a fan of either Max or Lewis, but they’re excellent drivers. Hamilton has more control and experience, and he has the drive to keep a level head.
Tschops Sipuka says: It’s a tough call. Lewis could win this one. His package is much stronger. Mechanical failure will be the only thing that stands in the way. Max deserves it but they have lost ground in speed.
