Who is Haim ?

Haim is an American pop rock band, based in Los Angeles.

Haim Members three sisters : Este , Danielle, and Alana Haim.

(/ˈhaɪɪm/ HY-im; meaning “life” in Hebrew, stylized in all caps)

In addition to their primary instruments, each is proficient in several others.

The group’s pop sound on their studio work stands in contrast to the more rock-based music of their live shows.

The sisters grew up in a musical family, and began playing instruments from an early age in the cover band Rockinhaim, fronted by their parents, Moti and Donna. The two elder sisters, Este and Danielle, began performing with the pop group Valli Girls in 2005.

They released a few songs on soundtrack and compilation albums under that name, but left the group shortly after an appearance at the 2005 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

They formed Haim with younger sister Alana in 2007, but did not seriously consider it a professional career for some years. After Danielle became a successful touring guitarist, first with Jenny Lewis and later with Julian Casablancas, Haim reformed as a full-time operation in 2012.

The group’s first release, Forever (an EP released as a limited-time download), combined with positive reception at the South by Southwest festival, led to a deal with Polydor Records and a management deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation group in mid-2012.

The band began recording material for their first album, Days Are Gone, in sessions between touring dates, including appearances at the Glastonbury Festival. The album charted in the top ten in several countries, including the number-one spot in the UK, and the group had won several “best of” awards by the end of 2013.

The group was nominated for Best New Artist at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. Their second album, Something to Tell You, was released in July 2017.

Their third album, titled Women in Music Pt. III, was released on June 26, 2020. The group received nominations at the 63rd Grammy awards for Album of the Year (for Women In Music Pt. III) and Best Rock Performance (for “The Steps”).

HAIM Announce North American Tour With Waxahatchee, Faye Webster, SASAMI

HAIM never got a chance to tour behind their 2020 album Women In Music Pt. III, and since things have opened back up again, the trio has only played a couple of proper shows, at the All Things Go festival and at the Santa Barbara Bowl.

But when the group shared their updated version of Adam Sandler’s “The Chanukah Song” over the weekend, they also teased the idea of hitting the road. So it’s not exactly a surprise that HAIM have just announced a full North American tour.

HAIM will head out across North America next spring, hitting some big venues. They’ll bring along a bunch of different opening acts on different parts of that tour. Waxahatchee, Faye Webster, SASAMI, Princess Nokia, and Buzzy Lee will all open different dates on the tour. Given that Alana Haim is now a movie star — and that all three HAIM sisters are in Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film Licorice Pizza, it’s anyone’s guess how often they’ll get to really hit the road like this, so maybe you should see them while you can.

Haim Sister Dating Right Now

It’s a big night for the pop-rock trio HAIM at the Grammy Awards with two nominations and a performance. As a refresher, the band is made up of three sisters: Este, age 34; Danielle, age 32; and Alana, age 29.

the Haim sisters talked about dating in quarantine — and Alana’s experience was totally relatable. She shared that she’d been texting and talking with a guy but when it came time to take the next step and FaceTime, it was impossible to nail down a time. “I just don’t know how that’s possible because we’re all home. I just think he didn’t want to FaceTime, but didn’t want to tell me,” Alana told Page Six. “He definitely was just ghosting me.”

In an interview with the Dixie Chicks published in Interview Magazine last June, Este shared that she’s been in a relationship for three years, although she didn’t name her boyfriend.

Danielle is in a relationship with the band’s producer

When speaking with Interview, Este recounted a conversation she had with her boyfriend at the beginning of quarantine. “He was at his apartment [during quarantine]. But he was like, ‘Listen, I want you around for the rest of my life. So I’m just not going to see you for a month,'” she recalled. “Which was fine. He sent me flowers on my birthday. He made sure that his presence was known. He’s honestly the f***ing best.”

Danielle, the lead singer of the group, is dating Ariel Rechtshaid, the band’s producer. According to The Independent, the song “Summer Girl” is about Rechtshaid’s cancer diagnosis. Danielle shared that she was initially hesitant to speak publicly about Rechtshaid’s experience.

“I felt so uncomfortable talking about it – it wasn’t my story to tell,” she explained, noting that with the release of “Summer Girl,” she was glad that people “[knew] where the song was coming from.”

Alana Haim Surprised Everyone With Her Movie Debut.

Alana Haim was jet-lagged, tossing and turning in a London hotel bed, when her phone pinged with an email from the acclaimed filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson.

This was not particularly out of the ordinary: Anderson had become a close friend of the family in the years since he’d started directing music videos for Haim, the Grammy-nominated rock band Alana is in with her two older sisters, Este and Danielle. (Their mother, Donna, was also Anderson’s beloved elementary-school art teacher — a fortuitous coincidence he realized only after having already met her daughters.)

When the band is on the road, Anderson will occasionally send the Haim siblings affable emails: a silly YouTube video, an article that might inspire them. But this message was different, and a little mysterious: Just an untitled Word document.

“All of a sudden, a script opens up,” Haim said over a video call from her home in Los Angeles,

“And the first name on the script is Alana.” Save for a few appearances playing herself in music videos, Haim had never acted before, and this was the first movie script she’d ever read. “It was like ‘EXTERIOR,’” she recalled, giddily. “I was like, here we go. We’re reading a script. This is the movies.”
